This is what you will do:
The Neurology Lead is an Alexion Patient Services’ leadership role that will manage a team of approximately 8-10 direct reports made up of geographically aligned OneSource Support Specialists (OSS) in the Mideast Region. Our OneSource Support Specialists are our Alexion Patient Services’ front-line roles that provide support for our patients, caregivers, and external partners. This role will support and lead the OSSs as they manage our patients during the onboarding and care plan phases of the patient journey when prescribed Alexion products.
The Neurology Lead will manage their team with a focus on providing an excellent patient experience through ongoing coaching and development, clear data-driven performance measurements and ensuring compliance with all Alexion policies, SOPs, and work instructions. The Lead will partner cross functionally with all areas of Patient Services, field teams, training, and other Alexion internal partners.
You will be responsible for:
• Leading a regionally aligned team of OneSource Support Specialists supporting a best in class patient experience
• Coaching and mentoring the team on continual improvement in delivering patient support services, while ensuring a high degree of compliance to program work instructions and Alexion policies
• Providing direct feedback and guidance on individual and team performance
• Utilizing data to drive efficiency throughout the patient journey
• Fostering partnerships with field leadership to ensure effective partnership with all field teams
• Supporting the creation and implementation of new patient centric strategies and tactics
• Quality managing team to ensure highest level of support given to all stakeholders
• Performance managing team using all available data
• Supporting the creation and implementation of Patient Services internal controls and processes
• 20% of time focused on patient and provider experience through the following activities:
o Weekly call observation and necessary coaching
o Case Process reviews
o Quarterly live shadow time with direct report
o Evaluation of documentation and data entry practices
o Quality management to ensure highest level of support given to all stakeholders
o Performance managing team utilizing all available data
o Coaching and mentoring the team on continual improvement in delivering patient support services, while ensuring a high degree of compliance to program work instructions and Alexion policies
o Ensuring appropriate follow up with necessary cross-functional partners
o Call Overflow Management
You will need to have:
• Associates Degree
• 3+ years of Patient Services or similar operational experience
• Passion for patient-centric actions and focus
• Experience with working across groups and presenting to leadership
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills, knowledge of business protocol, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently
• The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. We would prefer for you to have:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience
• Experience leading teams through change
• Advanced degree a plus
• 2+ years of team leadership
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $151,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
