Summary of Position:
Join our Capability Development team - a dedicated group of learning and performance experts committed to enhancing and empowering field force excellence. As strategic partners, we collaborate to evaluate, design, and implement impactful initiatives that elevate field operations, capabilities, and performance. Committed to fostering growth in ourselves and others, we champion innovation to deliver learning experiences that go far beyond traditional workshops. Our approach integrates adaptable micro-learning with targeted measurement, enabling our sales force to learn seamlessly within their workflow.
The Capability Development Manager will work with the cross-functional brand teams in our Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit (BBU) to optimize field force performance and drive desired business results for the brands.
What You’ll Do:
- As a strategic partner, proactively translate the business strategy into a longitudinal capability development plan for the field force.
- Design, develop, and deliver impactful solutions that challenge and inspire others to elevate performance, using exceptional facilitation and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, through innovative thinking, targeted measurement, and agility to adapt to changing environments.
- Enable new Sales Representatives/Key Account Managers to achieve their performance potential as they acquire foundational therapeutic knowledge, selling skills, and capabilities for usage of internal sales tools and systems.
- Implement the Performance Partner Framework methodology which integrates key tasks, thinking, and roles required for successful capability development at AstraZeneca.
- Utilize strong project management skills to deliver on key assignments aligned with business unit and/or overarching departmental goals and vision.
- Leverage emerging technologies to deliver cutting-edge learning experiences while exploring and implementing innovative methodologies.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset leveraging local and global resources, managing third-party suppliers as appropriate.
- Model AstraZeneca values and behaviors consistent with our organizational culture.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare, along with a Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of learning concepts and strong facilitation skills.
- Education background and relevant therapeutic experience are both assets.
- Bilingualism in English/French is considered an asset.
- Builds strong relationships and networks; collaborates effectively and challenges constructively.
- Demonstrates agility in thinking; analyzes current problems, generates new ideas, and prioritizes decisions balancing current and future business needs.
- Inspires others and influences without authority using strong communication skills.
- Embraces and leads change, helping others navigate through ambiguity.
- Balances pushing boundaries through innovation with regulation and compliance requirements.
