We currently have a Sydney-based position available for an Oncology Business Manager in our team looking after the Breast Cancer portfolio. The role covers NSW South (Sydney South of the bridge, ACT, occasional regional travel). 

What you’ll do

Reporting to the National Sales Manager (NSM), you will support the evolving Oncology franchise strategy, aligning with customer and patient needs. You’ll have the autonomy to craft and own Account plans alongside the internal Cross Functional Team (CFT), aiming to surpass customer expectations and embrace digital tools to enhance customer engagement and achieve remarkable commercial results.

As an Oncology Business Manager, you will:

  • Own and implement strategic account plans, identifying priority hospitals and building and refining plans aligned to brand strategy and regulations. 

  • Engage clinical and multidisciplinary teams, holding science based, on label discussions with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists and key influencers to support appropriate use.

  • Build senior stakeholder partnerships by developing long term relationships with department heads and administrators to address needs and improve patient access pathways.

  • Coordinate cross functional delivery in collaboration with Medical, Marketing and Diagnostics teams to remove barriers and implement solutions.

  • Leverage insights and digital tools, analysing territory data and using CRM/analytics and omnichannel engagement to focus resources and measure impact.

  • Educate and advocate within compliance, organising workshops/speaker programs and engaging guideline/formulary stakeholders to support inclusion of oncology therapies.

Essential for the role

  • Experience in specialist or hospital sales with proven Oncology experience; breast cancer exposure strongly preferred.

  • Established network across NSW hospitals and cancer centres, including prescribers, non-prescribing influencers, nurses and pharmacists.

  • Demonstrated strategic account management capability with the ability to turn insights into plans and actions.

  • Confidence discussing scientific data and clinical pathways, with strong communication and influencing skills.

  • High collaboration and teamwork, with experience working cross functionally and leading initiatives without formal authority.

  • Proficiency with CRM/analytics and comfort with omnichannel and virtual engagement.

  • Current driver’s licence and ability to travel across NSW South and the ACT as required

  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in life sciences, medical or pharmacy


Desirable for the role

  • 3+ years of Oncology sales experience in NSW; direct experience in breast cancer.

  • Experience engaging diagnostics stakeholders and companion testing pathways.

  • Proven success developing hospital formulary or protocol advocacy within compliance frameworks.

  • Experience facilitating multidisciplinary workshops or speaker programs.

  • Growth mindset with the ability to pivot, optimise and sustain momentum in complex accounts.
