Introduction to role

The Market Supply Coordinator role sits within the Regional Demand Teams in GSC&S and acts as the operational link between Operations and Commercial. Serving as the key connection between the Marketing Company (MC) and the Supply Organization, this role brings together supply and market intelligence to keep medicines flowing to patients. Working in close partnership with the aligned Market Company Account Manager (MCAM), the Market Supply Coordinator manages a segmented portfolio of Low Priority and Mature Brands, coordinating demand, resolving supply issues and supporting lifecycle initiatives across diverse markets. Accountabilities

  • Act as the single operational point of contact for all demand-related aspects for the assigned portfolio, maintaining strong links into the Supply Organisation.
  • Validate demand by verifying demand volumes and capturing associated market intelligence from key stake-holders.
  • Handle product supply issues in collaboration with Supply Sites, Global Logistics and Commercial teams, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Support early detection of potential stock outs and coordinate appropriate communication to local Health Authorities where required.
  • Escalate potential issues or gaps to the MCAM for resolution and, where needed, through the TIER process.
  • Review forecast quality metrics and monitor supply chain parameter settings to maintain robust planning performance.
  • Lead or support in-market pre-S&OP, S&OP and IBP meetings, ensuring demand and supply alignment.
  • Support lifecycle initiatives such as product discontinuations and divestments, including last-stock planning and data set-up.
  • Apply Lean principles and ways of working in daily activities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as the day-to-day operational customer interface for assigned markets.
  • Contribute to Market pre-IBP and IBP processes as appropriate for each market.
  • Manage Forecast Accuracy and Bias (MAPE), ensuring high-quality demand signals.
  • Monitor forecast versus sales in the current month, analyse short-term demand changes and events, and align actions with rules of engagement with the Supply Organization.
  • Approve and release ad hoc forecasts where required.
  • Maintain master data so that planning systems reflect true demand, including parameters, consumption settings, split patterns and past-due demand elements.
  • Attend or lead Execution Planning Meetings, Market pre-IBP, IBP and TIER meetings as appropriate.
  • Manage alert handling for stock outs, projected stock outs and low stock alerts, including root cause analysis, Esca-lation via TIER and interaction with supplying sites/NSPs.
  • Support APO CMI Demand and Supply Planning activities, including purchase order creation.
  • Support OMP MTSD and MTO planning activities, including purchase order creation.
  • Review and update master data for CMI to ensure accurate planning inputs.
  • Supervise shelf-life management for assigned products to minimize write-offs and ensure availability.
  • Support pack change processes (up to order placement), coordinating with relevant stake-holders.
  • Give to local, regional and global projects and initiatives related to product lifecycle management.
  • Support product discontinuations by agreeing last stock to market, setting correct demand signals and ensuring required master data set-up.
  • Support pack and artwork changes by ensuring correct demand signals and master data are in place.
  • Support divestments and acquisitions by ensuring accurate demand signals and master data set-up throughout transitions.

Essential Skills/Experience

The role is focused on communication, relationships, and data analysis. Experience and strengths in these areas therefore would be beneficial.
