About the role

Commercial IT is the Global IT leader supporting the Commercial organisation.  We business partner with Commercial areas: Biopharma, Oncology, International and Japan – and also Rare Disease Unit. We operate out of hubs sites including in the UK, Sweden, US and out of our Global Innovation Technology Centers in India and Mexico – and in markets all over the world.   

The EUCAN IT Business Partner will be a relevant role reshaping strategic relationships from a provider of technology to a strategic partner remodelling business practices through delivery of technology. The role will develop relationships with region Commercial & Medical and cross functional teams. The role must align to strategic business imperatives and support region teams with successfully harnessing digital & IT strategies, platforms and capabilities to achieve effective business impact in the region.

Accountabilities

  • The IT Business Partner will be a member of the EUCAN IT Leadership Team and report to the Head of Commercial IT EUCAN.

  • As a key point of contact for region teams and Marketing Companies, the role will represent the full breadth of the team and bring in domain guides as needed.

  • The role will build and lead engagements with Region Commercial & Medical teams, and supervise projects through to delivery, launch, and successful outcomes.

  • Will partner with global commercial teams to drive and handle technology demand in accordance with commercial priorities, funding, and prioritization.

  • You will be accountable for the delivery of IT & Digital platforms and act as an escalation point for IT, Digital, and Data.

  • The role will provide insight into the art of the possible and next-generation possibilities to build innovation opportunities across the Commercial pipeline. Additionally, will provide strategic feedback and external perspectives into the digital & IT thinking and planning of region teams.

  • You will work closely with Global IT & Digital Functions, Capabilities, Architecture and Solution & Service delivery teams.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech experience

  • Ability to influence Commercial & Medical Leaders and the direction of the business and be a trusted advisor.

  • Evidence of leading, developing and delivering innovative solutions

  • Experience of defining the business strategies and influencing the vision of senior leaders

  • Experience of leading high-value business cases & mobilising high value investments

  • Experience in handling, developing and leading virtual teams

  • A proven record of delivering results

  • Experience in one or more of the following Digital Marketing, Digital Health, Data/AI and Commercial excellence.

  • Strong influencing, networking and team working skills

  • Able to handle negotiations, expectations and solutions across sophisticated global teams

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Leadership abilities to achieve results through others.

  • Shown ability to influence peers.
