Global Launch Lead, Hematology & Nephrology (AI Strategy)
Are you ready to lead the charge in revolutionizing the global launch of IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) treatments? As the Global Commercial Launch Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring successful launch execution by delivering innovative marketing and launch tools to countries worldwide. With a strong emphasis on integrating Artificial Intelligence, you'll drive operational excellence and foster cross-functional collaboration across the Hematology & Nephrology portfolio, including PNH, HUS, and pipeline assets. Accountabilities
- Launch Leadership (IgAN): Deliver commercial launch deliverables, aligning with brand objectives and regional market needs.
- AI-Enabled Marketing: Integrate Artificial Intelligence into global launch materials, content generation, and ongoing campaign optimization.
- Test-and-Learn at Scale: Use rapid prototyping with AI to create, test, and refine marketing content for diverse global audiences.
- Portfolio Expansion: Partner with the rest of the team to extend AI capabilities to PNH, HUS, and pipeline assets.
- Tooling & Vendors: Maximize internal AI tools for content creation and assess external solutions and technology vendors.
- Governance & Compliance: Collaborate with IT, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance to ensure AI-generated materials meet pharmaceutical standards and company guidelines.
- Capability Building: Coach teams to increase AI tool adoption and practical use—this is a primary success metric for the role.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business discipline; minimum 10 years in global pharma, brand strategy, or commercial launch.
- Communication: Excellent English, written and spoken.
- AI Expertise: Hands-on use of Generative AI and/or predictive analytics to design and optimize campaigns. Natural interests into exploring AI solutions and sharing with team members.
- Vendor Management: Proven experience evaluating and managing external technology vendors.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Track record leading teams at country and global levels.
- Operational Execution: Strong delivery mindset with agile marketing methods and change management capability.
- Launch Experience: Direct experience in prelaunch, launch, or in-line marketing.
- Work Model: Minimum three days per week in-office per AZ policy; up to 15% international travel.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Therapeutic Area Knowledge: Familiarity with Hematology and/or Nephrology; experience in IgAN, PNH, or HUS.
- Advanced Education: MBA, PhD, or other advanced degree.
- Consulting Background: Experience in commercial strategy or healthcare technology consulting.
