About the team
SAP SOTC Functional Consultant for a world leading Pharmaceutical company which operates in over 100 countries and is head quartered in the United Kingdom. The candidate is expected to be a member of a team of functional consultants for a large SAP support and maintenance project, spanning several SAP landscapes across continents.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of their domain and a deep understanding of the relevant SAP module. The candidate should have shown expertise in configuring and supporting SAP landscapes.
Role and Responsibilities
- As a Senior Functional Consultant, will be responsible for resolving any SAP issues reported by the business users and delivering all enhancements as required by business users.
- Responsible for completing all tasks assigned by team lead and project manager.
- Responsible for reviewing solutions designed by the team members and proposing improvements.
- Responsible for proactively working with business users for identifying and resolving recurring issues.
- Responsible for understand and design EDI requirements with customers and external Partners.
- Owner of certain niche processes within broader domain area eg. Electronic Invoicing, Notafiscal, CFDI and EDI interfacing to 3rd party systems, etc.
- Prepare functional designs, make-system configuration and perform relevant testing and deployment of the designed business solution.
Required Skills and Experience
- In-depth functional understanding for their respective work stream and experienced knowledge in configuration and maintenance of SAP systems.
- Communicate closely with the ABAP development team.
- Minimum 1 full implementation of SD module.
- Expert and knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules(FI and MM).
- In-depth knowledge of EDI X12 Messaging, mapping and translation.
- Good understanding of SAP IDOCS Processing.
- Experience working with External warehouses and electronic communication.
- Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain.
- Ability to understand business requirements from business users and prepare and review functional specifications.
- Very good understanding of integration of SAP modules in End to end business processes.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and Application life cycle management.
- Ability to work in large and diverse teams.
- Exposure to Run SAP (Solution Manager) methodologies.
- Good understanding of GXP and SOX requirements. Should have working experience in a validated environment.
- Should be able to guide and mentor junior members of the team.
- Good sense of ownership and a high level of accountability
- Should be aware of release governance processes and have experience in working on any incident management tool.
- Experience of various Estimation Techniques needed.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well versed in English and Spanish. Excellent spoken and written skills. Portuguese is a plus.
- Willingness to work in shifts
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Experience working in a globally distributed team
- Willingness to travel
