SAP S/4HANA Data Expert – Production to Dispatch Door – Asset Management/Plant Maintenance

We are seeking a dedicated SAP S/4HANA Data Expert to join our team. You will play a crucial role in defining business data requirements within the S/4 HANA design process, documenting S/4 Enterprise Data Standards, and ensuring existing ECC data is fit for migration to S/4 HANA. This role is aligned with Asset Management within the Production to Dispatch Door (P2DD) Enterprise Process Organization (EPO) and involves proactive engagement with the wider business and relevant partners to ensure the S/4 data design meets business requirements and aligns with SAP standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Standards Development:
    • Support the definition, documentation, and implementation of S/4 Enterprise Data standards related to the EPO area/Material Master, including core and conditional master data, reference data, and metadata.
  • Process Design Support:
    • Apply data, process, and object expertise to support S/4 process design, considering both business processes and analytics requirements.
  • Alignment and Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with current business data capabilities to ensure alignment between S/4 design and the wider enterprise data design.
  • Data Delivery Prioritization:
    • Influence the prioritization of data delivery related to the EPO area/Material Master and lead reporting on progress to relevant collaborators.
  • Change Management:
    • Define the change journey from current to future state data design, including conducting change impact assessments and outlining critical use case examples.
  • Integration Considerations:
    • Ensure non-SAP system requirements are understood and considered in the data design.
  • Data Governance Contribution:
    • Contribute to the development of the S/4 Data Governance Strategy and Roadmap in collaboration with business data offices and the S/4 Data & Analytics leadership team.
  • Data Quality Assurance:
    • Assist in developing the S/4 Data Quality Strategy and secure its execution by steering and agreeing on the data quality approach for data within the EPO area/Material Master.
  • Migration Strategy Support:
    • Contribute to the development of the S/4 Cleanse and Migrate strategy and execution approaches and plans.
  • Migration Process Support:
    • Provide support to project data migration processes, including coordination of pre- and post-load business sign-off.
  • Compliance Assurance:
    • Ensure data within the EPO area/Material Master aligns with the S/4 HANA Data Governance Framework and AstraZeneca Global Data Standards.
  • Procedure Development:
    • Assist the S/4 Data Governance team in creating effective global procedures to govern each data asset throughout its lifecycle.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA data management, specifically in Asset Management or Plant Maintenance modules.
    • Strong knowledge of enterprise data standardsdata governance frameworks, and data quality strategies.
    • Hands-on experience with data cleansingdata enrichment, and data migration processes.
  • Analytical and Process Skills:
    • Ability to apply data, process, and object expertise to support S/4 process design with a focus on both business processes and analytics.
    • Proficient in conducting change impact assessments and developing future state data designs.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with multi-functional teams and partners.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence data delivery priorities and report progress effectively.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Project Management Experience:
    • Experience in large-scale ERP implementations or enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in rapidly changing environments.
    • Meticulous with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
