SAP Basis Application Engineer

Accountabilities:

As a SAP Basis Application Engineer, you will be deeply involved in SAP architecture and design, participate in the movement of SAP Workloads from on-premise to hyperscalers/cloud platforms, and provide technical support related to SAP HANA and Oracle Databases. You will also contribute to the installation, migration and upgrading of SAP Business suite products, S/4 HANA, and BW/4HANA systems.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Deep understanding in SAP architecture and design.

• Strong understanding of SAP Basis hands-on administration.

• Hands-on experience in SAP HANA administration from 1-3 years.

• Experience with SAP installations, SAP Application upgrades and migrations from 1-3 years.

• Excellent customer facing and internal communication skills.

• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail.

• Experience in regulated environments and knowledge of GXP and SOX requirements.

• Experience working in a globally distributed team within a matrix structure.

• Conversational English language to allow to communicate and work with global teams.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain.

• Experience in moving SAP Workloads from on premise to Cloud preferably to AWS.

• Experience in SAP Business Technology Platform

• Certification on SAP S/4 HANA or OS/DB Migration or AWS administration.

• SAP working experience in SUSE or REDHAT Linux, AIX and Windows OS.

• Working experience on High Availability and Cluster environments.
