As an IT Project Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in advancing our Business Technology Groups and IT strategy, helping to translate scientific ambitions into breakthrough therapies. Key Responsibilities
As an IT Project Manager, you'll take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, using established frameworks to manage both transition and transformation initiatives. Your day-to-day contributions will ensure projects are driven efficiently, mitigating risks, controlling costs, and aligning technical resources and partners for success. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Planning and completing projects/programmes, including defining activities, assigning resources, managing costs, and clarifying roles in accordance with the IT Project Management Methodology (ADF).
- Overseeing budgets, forecasts, task management, schedules, risk, change management processes, and project reporting to customers and review boards.
- Coordinating project workstreams, monitoring progress, and managing inter-project dependencies.
- Designing robust service transition plans to ensure seamless handover into Business As Usual (BAU) operations.
- Engaging closely with business partners to define requirements and secure alignment with project goals.
- Implementing risk and issue management processes to proactively resolve challenges.
- Managing scope changes and communicating their impact to all relevant parties.
- Ensuring projects follow standards for ADF, IT Quality, Cyber Security, Governance, and Regulatory Compliance.
- Working effectively with supplier management functions and collaborating with both internal and external suppliers.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven ability in Project and Programme Management.
- Experience managing multiple projects at once, with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strategic and analytical attitude.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with partners at all levels across a global setting.
- Experience leading complex discussions, managing diverse expectations, and delivering solutions across varied partner groups.
- Positive demeanor, eagerness to learn, and ability to thrive in multicultural, collaborative environments.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Deep knowledge of program & project management methodologies, tools, and standard processes.
- Hands-on experience delivering Network, Infrastructure, or Data Center projects.
- Familiarity with the complete IT Project Lifecycle and associated methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills; Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma experience is a plus.
