This internship will run on a 12-week program schedule from May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026. This is a paid, full time (40 hours/week) position at the AstraZeneca R&D facility located at either 1800 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 or 1 Medimmune Way, Gaithersburg, MD 20878.
Job Description:
Exact duties will vary upon candidate background and manager placement. Projected duties can include:
Exposure to typical finance related activities including Month-end close
Engage in budgeting/forecasting & financial modeling.
Project deployment across various areas within Finance.
Position Requirements:
Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at the freshman, sophomore, or junior level studying finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field. Candidates must have a graduation date set for after August 2026.
Basic understanding of budgeting and planning, and financial/management accounting.
MS Office experience with Excel proficiency preferred.
Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa (e.g., CPT, H1-B, F-1 (OPT), TN, or other non-immigrant status).
This role will not be providing CPT or OPT letters of support.
Ability to report onsite to Wilmington, DE or Gaithersburg, MD 3-5 days a week. This position will not be providing relocation assistance.
Compensation Range: $31 - $32.50/hr
