As the Brand Finance Director you will lead and coordinate the financial resources and activities for the Tezspire and Vaccines and Immune Therapy brands, managing the overall financial stewardship including financial reporting and compliance, financial forecasts, resource optimization and business investment opportunities.
Accountabilities/Duties:
Member of the Tezspire/Flumist Leadership Teams, serving as the key interface and contact for all financial management issues.
Serves as key interface with Tezspire collaboration partner on all financial and business items.
Provide strategic focus and input to the TA Executive Directors and other leadership team members on all key business decisions including strategic direction, business development, resource optimization and management, and investments cases, with focus on sales optimization, launch success, and sustained growth.
Responsible for ensuring sales and expense forecasts and phasing are achievable and supported by valid assumptions and sensitivities required to communicate potential variability to TA and US leadership.
Accountable for the accounting, monitoring and forecasting of all Gross to Product Sales adjustments including, as required, full responsibility for Market Access monthly closing activities, deal/no deal analysis, and rebate rate forecasts.
Establishes, monitors, and provides course adjustments for brand financial goals and objectives.
Work closely with brand team to complete the business planning cycles and to develop & implement strategic plans.
Accountable for monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close processes and associated analysis and reporting.
Presents and communicates to Leadership the brand forecasts, performance, and potential risks/opportunities of financial submissions, including quarterly investment briefings.
Lead continuous improvement in Finance processes and capabilities and lead financial risk management and financial governance in area of accountability
Leads business case analysis for investment opportunities including rebates, life cycle opportunities, resource changes, and business development.
Work proactively with the business to understand future financial information needs and produce efficient solutions to meet these needs.
Ensure compliance with SOX 404 and sound financial principles.
Essential for the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Ten years diversified financial experience,
Experience in a brand leadership role and/or dealing with senior management
Skills and Competencies
Knowledge of US operating model
Excellent technology skills and experience including Hyperion Planning, SAP, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical ability and proven strategic influencing skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including oral and written
Performs in an environment that emphasizes teamwork
Ability to successfully work as a change agent in a dynamic work environment
High degree of accuracy with attention to detail
Can effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities
Able to work with strict deadlines with a high level of ownership and strong sense of urgency
Desirable for the role:
MBA in Finance and/or public accounting background
Pharmaceutical industry experience
Possess a solid understanding of the Market Access landscape and the internal/external data sources
Brand knowledge and experience
