Are you ready to shape the future of care for patients living with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)? We are seeking an Associate Director, HCP Marketing & Personal Promotion to lead the strategic execution of SAPHNELO's personal promotion efforts across the SLE business. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the primary commercial lead for field-facing marketing initiatives, translating brand strategy into customer-facing promotions, sales force engagement, and execution excellence.
This is a unique opportunity to drive the development, deployment, measurement, and optimization of personal selling resources while influencing across Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Omnichannel, and Field Leadership teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Promotion Leadership
- Strategic Execution: Lead the end-to-end execution of SAPHNELO's SLE personal promotion strategy, ensuring alignment with overall brand objectives.
- Pull-Through: Drive coordinated pull-through of core personal selling initiatives and customer-facing promotional programs.
- Resource Ownership: Own the development, deployment, and performance measurement of branded and unbranded field resources.
- Consistency: Ensure consistent execution of brand strategy, messaging, and customer engagement priorities across all field channels.
Field Engagement & Sales Enablement
- Field Partnership: Partner closely with Commercial Area Leadership (CAL), Field Leadership, Commercial Excellence (ComEx), and Sales Training to enhance field effectiveness and capability development.
- Meeting Leadership: Lead strategic planning and execution of district, regional, and national sales meetings.
- Field Readiness: Develop field engagement plans, execution roadmaps, and selling tools that support business objectives.
- Capability Building: Identify ongoing field educational needs and support adoption of new strategies and resources.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Primary Liaison: Serve as the key connector between Marketing and stakeholders including Medical, Patient Engagement, Market Access, Omnichannel, Lifecycle Management, Commercial Excellence, and Field Leadership.
- Clinical-to-Commercial Alignment: Partner with the Medical Director to ensure seamless clinical-to-commercial execution.
- Integrated Experiences: Collaborate with Omnichannel and Lifecycle Marketing teams on integrated asset development and consistent customer experiences.
- Operational Coordination: Work with Immunology Sales, Institutional Account Management, Commercial Operations, Sales Force Operations, Insights+Anlystics and Med/Legal/Regulatory partners to ensure successful implementation of promotional initiatives.
Measurement & Optimization
- KPI Development: Establish KPIs and measurement plans for personal promotion initiatives.
- Performance Monitoring: Track field utilization, engagement metrics, and overall business impact.
- Business Reviews: Lead quarterly business reviews and recommend optimizations based on performance insights and field feedback.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancement of the representative and customer experience.
Budget & Resource Management
- Budget Oversight: Manage promotional budgets and resource allocation to maximize ROI.
- Sample and Promotional Resource Strategy: Oversee and manage deployment and inventory of high value promotional materials
- Project and Financial Stewardship: Ensure effective stewardship of commercial resources and vendor partnerships. Ensuring delivery on time and within budget
Required Qualifications (Mandatory)
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare marketing, sales, or commercial roles. Experience in Immunology, Specialty Marketing and/or Biologics preferred.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success leading HCP marketing, sales enablement, or field-facing commercial initiatives.
- Leadership Skills: Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Matrix Experience: Proven ability to manage complex projects within a matrixed organization.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and business planning capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications (Desirable)
- Experience in Immunology, Rheumatology, Specialty, or Biologics markets.
- Prior experience supporting specialty sales organizations.
- Background in omnichannel marketing and customer engagement strategies.
- Launch or lifecycle management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- MBA or advanced degree
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $165,353- $248,030 USD Annual. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
