US BBU Commercial Learning, a function of the Innovation and Business Excellence (IBEX) team, is dedicated to developing and delivering innovative, accessible and tailored learning solutions to empower individuals and teams to drive growth. The US BBU leads the way in advancing healthcare solutions for patients. Our enterprise learning team owns the lifecycle of training for our US BBU commercial field roles from onboarding to ongoing commercial capability development!
Lead the US BBU Commercial Learning team to improve sales force readiness and efficiency.
Reporting to the Director of Commercial Capabilities, you will partner with our brand and sales leaders, HQ teams, and sales specialists to develop and deploy training to maximize business opportunities and effectively engage customers:
A primary responsibility for this role is to foster first-line sales managers’ ability to develop coaching expertise in the AZ Coaching Approach, using your leadership experience to build the pipeline of commercial leaders in the US BBU
You also will enhance sales specialists’ ability to deliver Patient-Centered Solutions through expertise in selling and business intelligence.
You will serve as a creator and key contributor in the development of more effective experiences and content. You will strategically partner with commercial learning, brand, and sales leadership to evaluate and build programs.
In this role, you can improve your mentoring abilities and gain insights into AZ's sales process. You'll have a chance to observe the impact of your work on learning strategy, delivery, and measurement.
Key Responsibilities:
Targeted Coaching: Provide tailored training to first-line sales leaders and sales specialists, enhancing their strategic engagement and selling skills
Interactive Learning: Lead dynamic learning workshops and role-playing sessions, fostering a supportive environment where learners can practice and refine their selling and coaching skills
Performance Insights: Evaluate performance in training sessions, offering detailed feedforward and coaching to drive continuous improvement
Skills Analysis: Identify training needs through skill gap analyses and inform the design of targeted experiences to address these gaps
Program Optimization: Regularly assess learning effectiveness and adjust experiences to maximize impact and relevance
Market Awareness: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices, integrating innovative strategies into our training approach
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical sales or related field including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and lead teams, focusing on enhancing strategic selling capabilities
Ability to explain the importance and impact of navigating Market Access conversations with physicians and office staff
Exceptional communication abilities, adept at engaging diverse groups and promoting productive discussions
Strong skills in analysis and decision-making, with a proficiency in tailoring training strategies to meet specific needs
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
Location: Field Based with travel required as needed.
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $145,839 to $218,758. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity and eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
