Associate Business Analyst
TheAssociateBusiness Analyst role will have a direct influence on designing business processes and solutions to support business groups for platforms used by thousands of sales associates across the United States, which willultimately helpensure millions of patients will have access to our life saving products.The Business Analyst has experience contributing business analysis, design,and test activitiesto a large scale/global businesschangeor delivering small scale business changealone.The Business Analystoperateswith interactive communication,demonstratinginclusion and cultural sensitivity.
The role will partner with theCapability Lead, BusinessPartner,orotherBusiness Analyst colleagues to supportthe development of business cases,assistin business processdesign,and ensure that proposed solutionsmeet established AstraZeneca quality and compliance standards and business solution needs.The Business Analyst will be interacting and working with commercial colleagues and stakeholders directly to support and influence solutions to meet businessneeds.
The Associate Business Analyst is expected to perform atcapable level in the following:
Business Needs Identification–Candidatescandrive an assessment ofbusinessneedand areas for improvement.Candidates proactively seek opportunities to enhanceand improve in line with strategic goals, proposing potential solutions through research.
Business Analysis Planning -Candidatesare capableincharacterizinga solutionorinitiative’scomplexity, risks, known assumptions,constraints,anddependencies. Candidates are proficient in scoping and recommendingappropriate approaches.Candidates are capableof planning,sequencing,and coordinatingactivities to meet deliverables and deadlines.
Stakeholder Analysis & Change -Candidates effectivelyidentifystakeholders andmaintainrelationships according to individual stakeholder needs and levels of influence.Candidatescan compilecommunication and change managementplansfor projectsand stakeholders.
Requirements Analysis and Design Definition–Candidatescancoordinate/developrequirement plans includinguser story sessions,approvals,RAIDand scope impacts.Candidates are skilled intraceability,testingand validation. Candidatescancollaborate with business colleagues toidentifyfunctional and technical requirements. Candidatespartnerthearchitecture teamtoensurethe technical solution will deliver the agreed businessbenefits.
Business Case and Benefits Management –Candidates cancoordinate/supportbusiness case definitionand captureinvestmentbusiness justification including ROI and benefits realizationplans.
Solution Evaluation–Candidatesassess solution proposals and articulatesupporting arguments for a recommended solution. Candidates work collaboratively withother IT rolesto develop/maintainbusinessrelationships, support business process change and act as point of contact for application development.Candidates work with businesscolleaguestoidentifybusiness requirements and effectively communicatetheimpact,cost,andbenefits ofnew or changed solutions.Candidatesfacilitateuseracceptancetesting.Candidates support process owners toidentifyand devise solutions thatoptimizebusiness process performance,capability,andcompetitiveness.
IT Delivery -Candidates collaborate withITarchitecture,delivery,andsupport/operationsto ensure clear understanding ofallrequirements and effective testing.sothat the solutions delivered to the business are efficient and effective, meetingthe customerexperienceexpectations.
Candidates work collaboratively with or take responsibility forthe following roles:
Project Managers/Scrum Lead – Candidates can work collaboratively with this role to set the right expectations on timeline for business solution delivery. Candidates will ensurerisks are tracked and communicated effectively with the correct stakeholdergroup.
Test Lead-Candidatescandefine the testing approach and the components of testing to ensure traceability ofrequirements and effectiveness of overall solution.
Change Management/CommunicationsLead- Candidates canensurethe Change Management and Communications plansaccording tothe Stakeholder Analysis
Business Partners/BRM – Candidates will work collaboratively and support business partners/BRMs toevaluate, design and communicate business process changes, business solutionoptionsand considerations to stakeholdergroups.
Education, Experience,Skills,and Capabilities
Essential:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated work as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, ora relatedfield.
Experience ofusingcurrentbusiness analysis toolsandtechniques to design and deliver businesschange.
Strong engagement, communication and facilitation skills includingstoryboarding,presentation andinfluencing skills
Experience of working in a regulated environment
Experience of working with third party suppliers/vendors
