Location: Warsaw 

Hybrid model: 3 days from office per week

ABOUT DEPARTMENT

Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting Department supports Management Reporting & Planning of Manufacturing P&L with all its components: Operating Performance income, Cost of Production and Manpower & OPEX, Financial Adjustments – Manufacturing Variances and Inventory Accounting. The area of team experience covers small modules manufacturing sites across EMEA Region, large modules biomanufacturing sites (in Europe and beyond) as well as other entities embedded in Global Supply Chain such as Global External Sourcing, Toll and EMEA Distribution Centers. Department is still growing and taking part of Global projects. Our team members have wide experience in analysis and chance to grow in the future.

You will be part of GFS External Supply & Manufacturing (ESM) Team within the Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting Department. The team will be responsible for ensuring healthy Balance Sheet position of Manufacturing & Inventory accounts, compliance with balance sheet reconciliation policies and conducting financial controls.

Your core deliverables will include:

(FP&A specific)

  • Accountable for complex, accounting journals, to communicate monthly performance, provide analytical and data collection support to business planning processes and coordinate presentations for key business and finance review meetings
  • Working closely with business stakeholders providing analytical and strategic support while providing more in-depth insights to ensure these are based on sound planning assumptions & resource decisions are prioritized & optimized across the business area
  • Perform month-end close activities; analyze, interpret and communicate financial results in a timely manner
  • Perform detailed reviews of manufacturing costs and variances
  • Provide insight of financial performance through accurate, timely and relevant reporting
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with our customers and Business Partners
  • Performing Sites / Functions BA tasks - timely and good-quality delivery of monthly results, reporting as well as RBU / MTP / PHB data in each planning period

(MEC and Reporting specific)

  • Collaborate closely with GFS Ops FP&A colleagues and other global reporting representatives.
  • Driving and implementing the vision defined by GPO for Reporting, within GFS Ops.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of the planning and reporting process in collaboration with the GPO and Business counterparts.
  • Use knowledge & understanding of customer’s business and requirements, to deliver quality solutions addressing FP&A reporting elements.
  • Cooperate with Group Reporting, Masterdata Teams and Reporting System Owners to ensure master data and system set up are comply with reporting requirements and comply with AZ’s reporting standards.
  • Delivering timely, robust, high-quality financial information during the MEC and completing all BS review tasks, monthly audits, controls, conclusions and comments

Other role requirements

  • Support continuous improvement in Finance processes and capabilities and ensure compliance with financial governance standards taking accountability for control frameworks as appropriate.
  • Drive simplification of finance processes across markets and team and foster a culture of best practice sharing
  • Assist in better business decisions by provision of financial expertise and insightful analysis to all ad hoc reporting queries in line with SLA, and provide support to on-going projects
  • Participate in and support changes, new tasks, different initiatives, and projects within the Team and in entire GFS

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Qualified finance professional or equivalent, with 3+ years of experience in Finance
  • English Language proficiency, both verbal and written, with the confidence to express clear opinions and ability to explain financial issues to non-financial management
  • Excellent PC skills, MS Office and SAP proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment that emphasizes teamwork
  • Experience of change management and building engagement
  • Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams
  • Capacity to solve problems, identify options and propose a reasoned solution

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a global organisation, preferably within the pharmaceuticals industry
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including oral & written
  • Experience of working in a customer orientated organisation
  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation
