Accountabilities:
- Project manage a group of staff ensuring delivery of statistical contributions or support assessments and research within a specialist area of Biostatistics.
- Provide strategic scientific expertise to quantify the benefit, risk, value, and uncertainty of emerging product profiles throughout the drug development lifecycle.
- Oversee or provide expert technical support to AstraZeneca clients on a regional and potentially global basis.
- Develop, build, or act as a specialist within a cross-functional, multi-skilled team from various scientific disciplines.
- Lead initiatives to improve quality, integrity of information interpretation, cost, or time.
- Ensure all work adheres to AstraZeneca standards and external regulations.
- Efficiently lead and manage project information, strategy, quality standards, and integrity of information interpretation.
- Accountable for statistical work on products worldwide and provide leadership to internal and external statistical staff globally.
- Represent AstraZeneca and its Statistics function at external events.
- Network with colleagues and experts, providing statistical consultancy and serving as a resource for others.
- Oversee the statistical assessment and presentation of proposals.
- Investigate and develop leading-edge statistical or quantitative approaches for novel informatics in patient safety evaluation.
- Stay updated with internal changes and external regulations.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors of Science in an appropriate discipline with 3-5 years' experience in industry (CRO or sponsor)
- HWalands-on experience designing, setting up and reporting out studies.
- Understanding of the overall drug development and commercialization process from development, launch through life cycle management
- In-depth knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements related to the role
- Extensive experience in clinical program and study design and data analysis
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships

- Advanced degree in a scientific discipline

- Extensive knowledge of the latest technical and regulatory expectations
