Job Description

The Brand Manager, Breast Cancer Portfolio plays a strategic leadership role in driving the commercial success, market expansion, and market leadership of the Breast Cancer franchise in Korea. Operating within a highly dynamic, competitive, and high-stake market, BM owns the end-to-end lifecycle management, mid-to-long term brand strategy, and local execution across multiple assigned brands and diverse product portfolios within the Breast Cancer therapeutic area.

This role bridges high-level scientific clinical data with robust strategic field execution and P&L accountability. The ideal candidate will focus on simultaneously managing and scaling a multi-product portfolio, shaping market environment through media, public relations, and strategic market access activations. The BM will empower the field sales force with high-impact clinical messaging, while rigorously tracking organizational KPIs and forecasting financial outcomes to optimize portfolio profitability. This position demands advanced stakeholder management and strategic negotiation within a complex cross-functional matrix organization and critical co-promotion alliances.

Typical Accountabilities

1, Brand Strategy & Tactical Plan Leadership

  • Lead the development and formulation of annual local brand strategic plans, long-range forecasts, and high-impact marketing campaigns to maximize brand adoption and market share growth across all assigned brands.
  • Drive the creation, localization, and evolution of evidence-based marketing narratives and competitive differentiation messages tailored to each brand.

2, Sales Alignment & Message Leadership

  • Act as the strategic marketing lead for the Sales Team, ensuring alignment on brand strategies, updated clinical messages, and high-impact promotional platforms across the portfolio.
  • Conduct regular field engagement and key account visits to gather market insights, address complex field inquiries, and orchestrate flawless strategic execution across regions.

3, Sales Alignment & Message Leadership

  • Establish and drive the monitoring framework for marketing campaigns by defining, tracking, and optimizing clear qualitative and quantitative Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each assigned brand.
  • Analyze complex sales trends, competitive intelligence, and prescription metrics to deliver actionable business insights and accurate financial/demand forecasting.

4, Market Shaping & Stakeholder Management

  • Architect strategic initiatives, medical education platforms, and disease awareness campaigns to shape the market environment in preparation for upcoming indications, new product launches, and reimbursement milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Affairs, Market Access, and external PR agencies to lead media activations, press releases, and strategic patient advocacy programs.

5, Alliance Governance & Co-Promotion Alignment

  • Lead operational and strategic communication with co-promotion alliance partner to ensure message consistency, synchronized field execution, and conflict resolution.

6, Sales Enablement & Field Engagement

  • Ensuring rapid and accurate dissemination of brand strategies, updated clinical messages, and promotional tools.
  • Conduct regular field engagement, gather insights on market dynamics, and address field inquiries to facilitate flawless strategy execution.

7, Governance & MLR Compliance

  • Oversee the end-to-end approval workflow for all promotional, educational, and digital content, ensuring structural compliance through Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) reviews.
  • Guarantee 100% adherence to internal ethical standards, pharmacovigilance safety regulations, and local industry codes (KRPIA) across all brand activities.

Skills

  • Strategic Brand Management & P&L Ownership: Proven competence in managing brand profitability, allocating A&P budgets efficiently, analyzing ROI, and driving cross-functional business cases for multi-product portfolios.
  • Advanced Clinical Data Translation: Ability to deep-dive into complex breast cancer clinical trial data across multiple product lines and transform complex scientific mechanisms into powerful, field-ready commercial narratives.
  • KOL Advocacy & Stakeholder Insights: Capability to build strategic networks with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and medical societies to extract insights and build strong brand advocacy.
  • Alliance Governance & Negotiation: Strong interpersonal diplomacy and negotiation skills to lead and align strategies with co-promotion partners under a shared-voice model.
  • Data-driven Analytics & Forecasting: Skills in utilization of market research, prescription data audit tools, and digital metrics to predict market trends and optimize channel performance.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Thorough understanding of AZKR’s SOP, KRPIA codes, and MLR processes to proactively manage and mitigate compliance risks in content strategy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degrees and above, with a preference for Pharmacy, Nursing, or Life Sciences.
  • Language: Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Korean
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Work Experience: Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Experience in Oncology (Solid Tumors/Breast Cancer preferred) or Specialty care marketing is preferred.
