Medical Representative – Respiratory & Immunology

We are currently looking for a Medical Representative to join our Respiratory & Immunology (R&I) team in Sofia. This is an opportunity for a driven commercial professional to take ownership of a defined territory, engage with specialist healthcare providers, and contribute to improving patient care in a highly dynamic therapeutic area.
Role Overview
As a Medical Representative, you will be responsible for driving product adoption and delivering business results within your assigned territory. This includes building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, executing commercial strategies, and ensuring high-quality, compliant engagement aligned with AstraZeneca standards.
This role is suited for mid-level Medical Representatives who are comfortable operating independently, managing territory performance, and contributing to overall brand success.
Key Responsibilities
Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals, including specialist physicians and hospital stakeholders
Promote assigned products through high-quality, scientifically accurate, and compliant interactions
Deliver tailored product presentations aligned with customer needs and clinical practice
Plan and execute territory activities to achieve or exceed sales and performance targets
Analyze territory performance, identify opportunities, and implement action plans to drive growth
Organize and deliver local educational events, meetings, and presentations
Maintain accurate reporting of activities, customer interactions, and performance metrics (CRM systems)
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on strategy and execution
Ensure full adherence to AstraZeneca’s compliance standards, ethical guidelines, and industry regulations
Essential Requirements
University degree (e.g. Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Business, or Marketing)
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Medical Representative in the pharmaceutical industry is required
Proven experience working with specialist physicians (e.g., hospital-based or specialist care)
Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a defined territory
Strong territory management and planning capabilities
Excellent communication and influencing skills with healthcare professionals
Strong understanding of ethical promotion and compliance standards in the pharmaceutical industry
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Good level of English
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within Respiratory, Immunology, or a related therapeutic area
Experience in the Bulgarian pharmaceutical market
Established network of healthcare professionals within the territory
