Pre Commercial Director – Global Supply Chain & Strategy

Join us at AstraZeneca in the Global Supply Chain & Strategy Therapy Area teams, where we play a critical role in partnering with Global commercial teams in the development and delivery of brand strategies.

The role is located in Södertälje, Sweden.

The role
As the Pre Commercial Director, you will lead Global Operations Launch Teams to successfully implement global launches. You will be responsible for ensuring our supply chains are launch-ready, supplying samples, packaging, and artwork for submission, and preparing for and delivering launch stock for market launches.

You will engage actively with key partners across the business to understand the global launch expectations, the market scope, and any need for acceleration.

You will also apply your specialist knowledge and skills in project/program management to deliver launch stock in time to markets. 

Essential Skills & Experience 

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

• Extensive experience in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning) within the pharmaceutical industry.

• Experience in programme/project management, with a proven track record.

• Demonstrate strong, communication and relationship building skills with experience of collaborating and sharing knowledge between teams.

• Evidence of shaping and developing innovative solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organisation.

• Strong networking/consulting skills with good internal/external links.

• Proven track record in delivering high risk programme/projects and decision making.

• Excellent business engagement and business acumen with sensitivity to political/economic environment.

• Experience of managing and controlling a budget.

• Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines.
