Associate Director, Data Analytics Procurement - Technology & Insights Procurement

Are you ready to turn enterprise-wide procurement data into decisions that protect cost, elevate supplier performance, and ultimately help deliver medicines to patients faster? In this role, you will design and own the core datasets and performance reporting stack that power strategic procurement. You will create dashboards and analytics that fuse internal sources with market data, translate metrics into clear actions for senior leaders, and partner closely with category, supplier, and technology stakeholders. Your work will surface opportunities across spend, compliance, and supplier value—driving measurable outcomes across the value chain!

Accountabilities:

- Business Partner across Procurement Centre of Excellence

- Data Foundation Ownership: Design, improve, and manage the core reporting that supports Global Procurement and the team’s performance and reporting stack, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Insight Products and Dashboards: Build intuitive dashboards and generate insights that combine core datasets with relevant external sources to guide category strategies and supplier decisions.
- Performance and Compliance Metrics: Develop, track, and report key departmental performance and compliance metrics for diverse business audiences, enabling clear line-of-sight to outcomes.
- Data Standards and Governance: Define and maintain data management standards to deliver consistent, accurate business analysis and metrics for critical departmental activities.
- Business Improvement Through Analytics: Identify improvement opportunities within large datasets—internal, external, and related to market trends—and translate them into targeted initiatives.
- Adoption and Change Enablement: Work with Technology Procurement and Process Owners to drive adoption, refine processes, and embed analytics into day-to-day decision making.
- Executive Storytelling: Synthesize complex analyses into concise narratives and visuals that influence senior stakeholders and inform strategic choices.
- Continuous Improvement and Automation: Streamline the reporting stack and analytical workflows, introducing automation where it increases speed, quality, and repeatability.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Coordinate with finance, risk, sustainability, and operations teams to align metrics and ensure insights connect directly to business value.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Experience with procurement analytics, including category management, supplier performance, and spend optimization

- Outstanding track record of data-driven analysis

- Business partnering and producing analytics directly for stakeholders, collaborating to scope requirements, deliver insights, and inform decision-making

- Demonstrated expertise in manipulating large datasets and extrapolating insights: Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Power BI (additional BI experience also applicable, such as Qlik, Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.); SQL; Python/R
- Diligent with excellent organisational, problem-solving, communication, and professional interpersonal skills
- Comfortable translating data and insights for senior executives
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Familiarity with procurement platforms and source-to-pay solutions (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) and their data structures
- Experience integrating external market data and supplier risk or sustainability metrics into dashboards and KPIs
- Experience in a highly regulated or life sciences environment and comfort operating across multiple regions and functions
- Proven ability to lead through influence, manage stakeholders, and deliver change in fast-paced settings
