One of the main challenges for clinical research is recruitment of participants. The Innovative Patient Recruitment (IPR) team in Evinova develop recruitment science and strategies and provide products and services to accelerate patient recruitment and help match participants with the most relevant clinical trials at any time. 

We are now recruiting a Director, IPR Delivery Lead to own the onboarding of clinical studies to our products and the customer journey for the Clinical Development teams we collaborate with. In this role, you will build and lead a high-performing Implementation and Delivery capability that can operate at scale across multiple customer groups and stakeholders, both internal and external.

As Director, IPR Delivery Lead, you will work closely with Product and Recruitment Science & Strategy colleagues to shape our offerings and continuously improve how we deliver them. You will also be part of the IPR Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic development of recruitment science and innovation, our evolving product portfolio, and the continued growth of organizational capability.

Accountability

  • Lead portfolio delivery: Plan and execute the delivery of the IPR portfolio, including study onboarding to IPR products and offerings, ongoing maintenance, and offboarding, in a timely and efficient way.
  • Manage customer engagement: Lead customer interactions with sponsor study team representatives, set clear delivery expectations, and manage operational requirements throughout the onboarding journey.
  • Enable successful study go-live: Ensure the full package of documentation, including ethics approval materials, is delivered accurately and on time to support study launch.
  • Drive risk management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks to reduce the likelihood and impact of issues during delivery.
  • Develop and optimize delivery processes: Build and continuously improve a cost-effective onboarding process that delivers high-quality experience for study teams and can be adapted for different customer needs.
  • Accelerate and automate delivery: Develop relevant tools, drive automation where appropriate, and support the implementation and adoption of AI tools as part of the delivery process.
  • Collaborate to scale: Partner with Evinova Delivery to build on best practice, integrate with existing systems, and develop processes that enable IPR products and services to scale from the US to global delivery.
  • Coordinate project management resources: Oversee onboarding activities across a team of Project Managers, balancing resources, supporting prioritization, and ensuring clear status communication to the Head of IPR.
  • Align across Evinova delivery teams: Coordinate with other delivery teams across Evinova to support the effective delivery of a range of services to shared clinical studies.
  • Shape delivery strategy: Own the strategic development of IPR delivery using operational performance metrics and analytics, and align with the broader Evinova Solution Delivery organization to create seamless customer experience.
  • Contribute as a leadership team member: As part of the IPR Leadership Team, help foster a performance-driven culture with a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship, innovation, and high execution standards, while contributing to the development of the IPR organization and its customer offerings.

Essential skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in scientific discipline, business administration, or management.
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical development.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare- or pharma-related solution deployment and technical maintenance.
  • Deep experience in business process development and optimization in a regulated environment.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and working effectively with senior leadership.
  • Very strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate complex problems and propose effective, well-structured solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels and create executive- and customer-ready materials.
  • High level of cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, global environment.
  • Multi-year experience in leadership roles, formal or informal, and in developing team performance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving industry.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Desirable skills and experience

  • An advanced degree, such as an MBA.
  • Experience with regulations related to healthcare communications with patients.
  • Experience deploying critical tools and systems in clinical development.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience building AI agents, automations, or similar workflow solutions.
  • Experience in data analytics or business intelligence, for example using Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Experience in the health-tech industry or another technology-driven sector.
