What you'll do

Are you experienced in leading change? As a Senior Project Manager in GBS Project Services, you will guide globalinitiatives across our organization, managing projects ofvarious sizesand risks. With your growing experience in strategy development and implementation,you’llensure our teams stay aligned and focused on successful outcomes. 

You’llhave opportunities to share your ideas with top leadership, using yourstrong communicationskills to share important insights. Your talent for building relationships and fostering teamwork will boostknowledge-sharingamong our teams. With your strategic thinking,you'llassess risks and develop smart solutions to tackle them. Working in a complex operational environment,you’llapply your business skills and engage with a variety of stakeholders.  

  • Lead GlobalInitiatives– Manage functional projects that are medium complexity and risk and have a mature and supportive partnerorganisation. Define, implement, and drive project governance across a mature and supportive partner landscape. 

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:Cultivatea cultureof innovation and continuousimprovement within projects and the team, actively seeking opportunities to enhance services and drive efficiency. 

  • Change Management: Develop tailored change management strategies that consider the customer’s environment, stakeholder needs, and desired future state.Implementcross-functional, change initiatives that experience some ambiguity in mobilizing.Develop the analysis of change impacts and stakeholder effects resulting from transformation initiatives.

  • Problem Solving and Execution– Apply effective problem-solving techniques, simplify complex information to create actionable insights. 

  • CustomerEngagement– Deliver excellent customer service, effective communication,professionalismand a commitment to exceeding expectations. 

  • Quality Assurance:Ensure that the services provided meet the encouragedstandards of quality and deliver value to the organization. 

  • Mentorship and Development: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of5years’ experience in medium-complexity project management, change management,businessor technology consulting   

  • Strong communication skills

  • Adaptable- flexible to take on a diverse range of projects

  • Ability to identify areas of improvement

Desirable for the role

  • Graduate degree with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant project/changemanagement or consulting experiencewithin medium-complexity programs

  • Pharmaceutical or equivalent global organization experience

  • Certifications: PMI, PMI Agile Practitioner, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PROSCI Change Management, ACMP CCMP, or similar  

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 127,868.00 to 167,826.75.

AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.  In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.

In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).  Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
