Reporting to the Franchise Head, BioResp & Immunology, the Senior Marketing Manager (SMM) – FASENRA is accountable to champion, drive, and own FASENRA brand performance and grow AstraZeneca’s leadership in eosinophilic driven diseases (Severe eosinophilic asthma and EGPA).
With a strong foundation in core marketing capabilities, you are able to lead, inspire, and align the broader cross-functional team on our key priorities and bold vision to reframe severe asthma care in Canada. You will build aspirational, focused, integrated, and innovative plans to help thousands of Canadian severe eosinophilic asthma patients breathe and live better. You will ensure executional excellence of our strategy and customer experience plans, prioritizing the opportunities with the biggest impact and build and execute a focused launch plan for a new indication. You will also be responsible for developing and coaching a Marketing Manager.
What You’ll Do:
- You will lead without authority to foster a positive and collaborative culture, including partnering with National Sales Managers and the broader cross-functional team. You will ensure there is high engagement across the team, while leveraging new and innovative opportunities to amplify Fasenra’s growth and leadership.
- You will lead our forecasting and budgeting cycles, ensuring that assumptions are continually updated based on key learnings, and that we are maximizing profitability for the brand.
- You will lead performance discussions, including Monthly Business Reviews, with senior leaders and the Executive Team.
- You will strive to alleviate systemic healthcare barriers across complex micro and macro multi-disciplinary ecosystems (including via policy changes) as an opportunity to accelerate clinical practice changes.
- You will work closely with other SMMs across the different business units and build strong relationships across the broader organization, in Canada, and with our global and regional colleagues.
- You will also be responsible collecting and reporting Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and procedures.
- You will be responsible for developing and coaching a Marketing Manager
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of marketing experience with a strong foundation in core marketing capabilities (i.e., brand positioning and strategy, customer experience, digital and omnichannel approaches, forecasting and financial management/proficiency, and performance measurement).
- Collaborative with a strong ability to inspire, lead without authority, and engage a diverse cross-functional team to achieve brand goals.
- Strong insights based strategic analysis/planning and execution skills with a proven track record of driving significant brand growth.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, react swiftly to change, remain agile and showcase growth mindset.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written). Has the ability to simplify and clearly articulate complex ideas to tell a cohesive story, gaining alignment with and support from senior leadership.
- Willingness to travel for key national conferences.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 136,829.60 to 179,588.85.AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role). Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
