The Senior Manager, Digital Customer Strategy is a critical leader responsible for crafting and delivering AstraZeneca’s digital engagement approach across commercial functions. This role drives the design and optimization of omnichannel strategies, championing the integration of AI-powered solutions to personalize customer interactions, improve campaign performance, and maximize business impact. The Senior Manager partners with brand, sales, analytics, and IT teams to ensure data-driven, agile, and innovative engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the digital customer engagement strategy across assigned portfolio, embedding AI integration and advanced analytics into every step of the customer journey and commercial activity.
Design and coordinate high-impact omnichannel campaigns, leveraging AI tools for segmentation, targeting, content personalization, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with commercial teams, brand leads, medical affairs, analytics, and IT to translate strategic objectives into actionable digital initiatives, fostering seamless cross-functional alignment.
Drive adoption of GenAI and machine learning technologies for campaign management, predictive analytics, customer profiling, and real-time engagement insights.
Develop and continuously refine dashboards, KPIs, and measurement frameworks powered by AI to monitor the effectiveness of digital channels, customer satisfaction, and commercial results.
Guide campaign preparation, digital go-to-market model development, and omnichannel planning—ensuring readiness, precision, and consistent customer experiences.
Support HCP digital partnerships and digital patient activation initiatives, utilizing data-driven recommendations to optimize outreach and improve outcomes.
Animate customer and patient engagement journey creation with AI-enabled personalization and dynamic channel sequencing.
Advocate for digital innovation and best practice sharing across teams, building capability and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Ensure compliance with global and local regulations on digital engagement, data usage, and privacy in all activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Digital Marketing, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in digital strategy, commercial, or omnichannel customer engagement roles, oncology pharmaceutical experience an asset.
Strong understanding of omnichannel engagement, advanced segmentation, campaign analytics, and digital platform deployment.
Proven collaboration skills, with experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication, project management, and change leadership abilities.
Thorough knowledge of compliance, data governance, and digital regulation in healthcare/pharma.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 136,829.60 to 179,588.85.AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role). Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
