As a Partner in Patient Services Data & Reporting, you'll be at the heart of driving excellence in data analytics and reporting for the North America Patient Services organization. Collaborate with Field Reimbursement Managers, Patient Access, and Patient Operations teams to deliver timely insights that support business operations and enhance patient outcomes. Your technical expertise in business intelligence solutions will be pivotal in managing ad-hoc analytics requests, designing PowerBI dashboards, and ensuring high data quality standards. Accountabilities:
Daily Analytics Support: Be the go-to data and analytics partner for Field Reimbursement Managers, Patient Access, and Patient Operations teams, responding to daily requests and supporting operational excellence.
Ad-hoc Analytics & Reporting: Manage and deliver tailored ad-hoc analytics, insights, and reporting to meet evolving business needs, empowering stakeholders with the data they need for informed decisions.
Analytics Solution Design: Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics solutions and dashboards using PowerBI to foster a self-service reporting culture.
Technical Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge of PowerBI, SQL, and other BI tools to build schematic models and scalable reporting solutions.
Data Quality Management: Monitor and improve data quality for all Patient Services reporting, proactively addressing issues impacting accuracy and timeliness.
Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with business teams, IT, and analytics colleagues to translate frontline business requirements into effective data solutions.
Process & Best Practice Champion: Implement best practices in data modeling, BI development, and reporting automation to enhance efficiency.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize reporting workflows and automate manual tasks for better accessibility of analytics.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5+ years’ experience in business intelligence, analytics, and reporting roles supporting Patient Services, pharma, healthcare, or related sectors.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in PowerBI (design and build), advanced SQL, and additional BI platforms such as Tableau, QlikView, or Qlik Sense.
Data Modeling: Expert ability in designing analytic schematic models for reporting and dashboarding.
Data Quality: Strong track record managing, monitoring, and improving data quality for business reporting and analytics.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Experience collaborating effectively with commercial, operations, and IT teams on analytics and reporting projects.
Problem Solving: Ability to proactively identify data-related issues, propose solutions, and deliver actionable insights under tight timelines.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of translating technical concepts into business-focused insights.
Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and support a culture of continuous improvement within a data and analytics team.
Travel: Ability to travel in Canada and the US for key meetings and business reviews (~10%).
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
Pharma/Patient Services Experience: Experience supporting Patient Services teams within pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
Reporting Automation: Exposure to reporting automation tools and scripting (e.g., VBA, Python, R).
Big Data Exposure: Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure) and scalable analytics solutions.
Annual base salary for this position ranges from $115,693.60 - 152,000.00 CAD AnnualAstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role). Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
