Summary of Position:

The OneSource Patient Experience (Px) Lead is responsible for overseeing the entire journey of patients enrolled in the program. For each Therapeutic Area (TA), the Px Lead is tasked with developing patient journey maps and leading the strategic design, development, and launch of new patient support services and programs. These efforts span the Alexion Canada's rare diseases portfolio, covering both current and future pipeline products. This role centers on guiding, coordinating, implementing, executing, and completing specific projects to ensure alignment with the company's strategies, commitments, and objectives.What You’ll Do:

Key Responsibilities for This Role:

Patient Journey Mapping and Experience Design:

  • Lead the proactive design and implementation of insight-driven programs for new brands and indications, as well as new services for existing programs within the therapeutic area (TA). This involves cross-functional collaboration with privacy, compliance, legal teams, and external vendors.
  • Drive strategic and tactical planning to deliver a unique PSP experience for both patients and healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Set clear goals, objectives, and metrics to assess the effectiveness of various Patient Support Program (PSP) offerings within the TA.
  • Lead all aspects of and handle the critical hyper-care period for new initiatives, identifying and removing barriers to patient experience after launch. Ensure a smooth transition of the program to the Operations Lead post-hyper care.
  • Guide the compliance process for all OneSource program offerings, ensuring they are formally approved. Partner with Drug Safety, Product Quality, HCC, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to maintain a patient-centric approach and adhere to all relevant laws and policies. 

Engagement, Training, and Performance Management of External Partner Case Management Teams:

  • Coordinate internal resources and vendors to implement programs flawlessly, form effective project teams with vital skills and experience, and align team goals with program objectives. Handle the performance of external case management teams, track project progress, mitigate risks, and handle budgets for each project.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive engagement strategies and training for cross-functional team members and external partners.

Customer Engagement:

  • Engage with key healthcare professionals and hospital users of the OneSource PSP to gain insights into challenges and opportunities, troubleshooting, and enhance support initiatives.

Reimbursement Excellence:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all reimbursement excellence strategies related to the TA for patients enrolled in OneSource.
  • Develop, facilitate, and implement strategies to optimize patient reimbursement in collaboration with Market Access teams and external partners.
  • Shape and handle all co-pay and free goods programs for the TA.
  • Plan, forecast, reconcile, and oversee the budget for co-pay management and free goods initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or an advanced degree in a related field (e.g., business management, sciences) is preferred.

Industry Experience and Knowledge:

  • 8 years of experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical go-to-market strategies, IMC Code of Ethical Practices, and Pharmacovigilance standards.
  • Expertise in brand planning, including the ability to translate disease state and business drivers into patient support programs and operational needs. Demonstrates both critical thinking and innovative ways with strong business insights.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Proven leadership experience in handling cross-functional teams and engaging with C-Suite executives, both internally and externally.
  • Outstanding collaboration skills: recognized as a strong teammate who effectively partners with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Dedicated with the ability to lead and prioritize multiple initiatives and handle diverse stakeholders efficiently.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated learning agility and capability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in project management is highly desirable.
  • Track record of successful negotiations with large agencies and vendors.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, along with presentation and negotiation skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 143,621.60 to 188,503.35.

The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.  In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.

In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).  Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
