Data Analyst, Advanced Analytics

Join our team as a Data Analyst - Advanced Analytics, applying new analytical methods and cloud technology to discover valuable business insights. With a core focus on SQL development and visual analytics tools like PowerBI, you will collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to fulfill their analytics needs. It is essential to be able to present data-driven strategies in a way that effectively communicates complex findings to customers. The perfect fit should have more than four years of experience in data analytics, particularly in healthcare environments, and thrive in project management and collaborator communication. Proficiency in SQL, a basic understanding of statistical methods, and the ability to create detailed visualizations are essential. Familiarity with Python and GenAI offerings is a plus, as is experience with productionalizing data pipelines and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SQL Development: Create and manage complex SQL notebooks for data analysis; perform rapid ad-hoc queries.
  • Collaborator Collaboration: Engage with marketing and sales teams, understand their analytics needs, and deliver insights effectively.
  • Apply cloud infrastructure for data analytics tasks to ensure seamless integration and operation.
  • Visual Analytics: Develop visual analytics using tools like PowerBI or Tableau, with a preference for PowerBI due to enterprise-wide usage.
  • Presentations & Communication: Build engaging presentations highlighting analytics outcomes; communicate findings and strategies clearly to collaborators. Keep track of SOPs and maintain a healthy WoW.

Essential Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Experience: 4+ years of relevant professional experience, with at least 2 years of experience in data analytics and hypothesis testing in a healthcare setting
  • Good ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries quickly and efficiently. Hands on experience is a must.
  • Communication Skills: Superb communication skills, with experience interacting closely with marketing and sales teams.
  • Statistics & Analysis: Basic understanding of statistical methods, including hypothesis testing and cohort analysis. Basic understanding of sampling theory and population parameters.
  • Visual Analytics Tools: Proficiency in PowerBI, QlikSense or Tableau for creating insightful visualizations.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to craft engaging presentations and present complex information to collaborators in a simplified fashion.
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities.
  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment.  As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to: use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in problem-solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours.

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Data Pipeline Productionalization: Experience in systematizing analytics processes and deploying them on a scheduled basis using cloud infrastructure.
  • Advanced Statistics: Proficiency in advanced statistical inference techniques.
  • Python Knowledge: Familiarity with Python for analytics; considered a plus.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience working with cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Analytical Tools Experience: Knowledge of additional analytical tools or software is beneficial.
  • GenAI – Basic understanding of foundation models and their applications. The candidate should be aware of the offerings in the market in GenAI space.
