What you’ll do
We have a new permanent opportunity to join the Respiratory and Immunology Specialty Care team as a National Sales Manager based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
Reporting to the Business Unit Head (Biologics), you will be responsible for developing, inspiring and leading our Business Managers, specifically championing our account management business model to ensure that AZ is well positioned to deliver on our scientific and commercial business priorities.
Key responsibilities:
Coach, engage and develop your team to optimise their scientific knowledge, account management expertise and commercial acumen.
Set measurable, clear goals and expectations and deliver on all agreed sales metrics.
Build knowledge and understanding of AstraZeneca's R&I overall value proposition and develop and manage long-term relationships with Multi Discplinary Teams (MDT’s), Decision Making Units (DMU’s), and other relevant senior stakeholders within prioritised accounts.
Support business planning including account management, customer segmentation, and targeting via effective cross functional partnership.
Champion the evolution of our omnichannel journey by ensuring new capabilities and behaviours are adopted and embedded.
Shape the R&I sales strategy with the Business Unit Head and R&I Leadership Team to deliver business objectives.
Essential for the role
Demonstrated sales leadership in a national sales management role within a pharmaceutical or related setting.
Proven ability to lead & develop a high performing specialist pharmaceutical sales team.
Deep understanding of Key Account Management principles and a track record of developing and executing compelling account strategies in complex clinical environments.
Evidence of established relationships with a broad base of MDT’s and senior decision-makers.
Strong communication, influencing and collaboration skills to build effective internal partnerships with medical, marketing, market access and partner sales teams, with a “One AstraZeneca” focus.
Results orientation, accountability, strong business acumen and analytical skills to contribute to brand strategy and tactical execution.
Ability to travel nationally for field coaching and stakeholder engagement requirements.
Desirable for the role:
National experience leading sales in Specialty care is strongly preferred, with respiratory pathway experience highly regarded.
Experience enabling omnichannel ways of working and embedding new capabilities across field teams.
