What you’ll do
You will report to the Analytical Manager and will have approximately 2 chemists reporting to you. Your team focuses on analytical instrument validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting as well as analytical method lifecycle management. In addition to the technical and validation management, you will perform investigations, you will be the Analytical representative for site strategic projects, and you play a pivotal role in (external and internal) audits. You are encouraged to up-skill your team and critically impact people's development. Other responsibilities include:
Ensure the laboratory complies with all internal computerised system requirements
Supervise and improve systems and compliance within the Analytical Laboratory
Support career development of reports and provide constructive feedback where required
Support the analytical team with other activities as required
Essential for the role
Tertiary qualification in a science or quality-related discipline
Project management expertise
Experience in analytical methods &/or instrument validation.
Strong technical writing capability.
Sound knowledge of the principles and concepts of Good Manufacturing Practice/ Good Laboratory Practice.
Sound knowledge and understanding of analytical testing instruments and analysis
Proficient in problem-solving and risk analysis
Desirables for the role
Minimum 4 years of working experience in a Pharmaceutical Quality Control environment
Minimum 1 year of supervisory/management experience
Ability to build and manage relationships between key stakeholders
Auditing experience in either manufacturing or laboratory settings
Knowledge of sterile manufacturing
Knowledge of computerised management systems (SAP, LIMS, LES, Trackwise etc)
