Introduction to role
AstraZeneca is seeking a qualified Electrical Bias Multi-Skilled Technician to maintain plant equipment and distribution networks within our utilities department. As a utilities department we supply the campus with all, Steam, compressed air, Water, Borehole water and manage our effluent discharge. You'll handle equipment upkeep, fault diagnosis, and performance improvement projects while continuously developing your skills through training. This role requires a multi-skilled background to manage various engineering tasks.
Accountabilities
Maintain equipment according to maintenance strategies and schedules.
Respond promptly to breakdowns to maximize equipment availability.
Manage self-delivered installation works in line with relevant change controls.
Contribute to the commissioning and decommissioning of new, modified, redundant equipment.
Understanding and appreciation of electrical systems and distribution from low voltage to 33kVa systems.
Set up systems and equipment for compliance and performance.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Train and support less experienced technicians and new starters.
Support change initiatives to drive business improvements.
Essential Skills/Experience
Knowledge of GXP & Safety, Health, and Environment compliance from a high hazard, Pharma, petrochemical or alike industry.
Strong understanding of engineering principles.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proactive approach with a strong can-do attitude.
Creation and development of maintenance strategies
Desirable Skills/Experience
Experience in manufacturing or pharmaceutical settings.
Familiarity with AstraZeneca systems (e.g., EUSAP, Coupa).
Project planning skills and IT proficiency in MS Office.
Please note, this role aligns to SA91 Grade 10.
