As a Medical Science Liaison, you will act as a regional field medical affairs expert, sharing your knowledge and insights with cross-functional colleagues through a centralized insight gathering process. You will provide technical input into brand and medical activities and support research discussions with clinical leaders in your dedicated region. Join us in shaping the future of healthcare!
Accountabilities
- KEE education and capability build to drive class growth (change in prescribing behavior and ability to use innovative medicines)
- Improve KEE disease area knowledge
- Build KEE capability to use innovative medicines
- Engage in account-level cross-functional working with sales and market access colleagues within the boundaries laid down by the ABPI code of practice and the relevant AZ standard operating procedures
- Remain up-to-date on therapy advances, product development plans, competitor developments and trials, AZ products, and trial data
- Stay current on ABPI Code changes and adopt them as required into ways of working
- Patient pathway redesign
- Policy guideline change and pull through
- Support and/or design initiatives to improve measurable and scalable initiatives
- Maintain an understanding of the local health economy and how it interacts with patient pathways relevant to their therapy area
- Proactively champion up-to-date evidence-based treatment guidelines and highlight pertinent patient unmet needs, providing relevant AstraZeneca therapy-specific data when appropriate
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Higher degree in science or business subject
- Knowledge of relevant therapy areas
- Experience in the development of clinical trial programs in support of the therapy area portfolio an advantage
- Experience in account management
- Knowledge +/- experience of real-world data projects
