Introduction to Role:
Join our dynamic IT team at AstraZeneca as an IT Service Manager. In this role, you will ensure the continuous delivery of excellent IT services to our internal business customers. You will be a tenacious problem solver, managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and leading the IT Support Desk. You will also independently run several IT projects, such as IT change projects (platform upgrades), deploying companywide training around security & IT controls, and continuously monitoring service desk trends. Accountabilities:
As an IT Service Manager, you will be responsible for running the IT Service Desk, driving key service support across infrastructure, operations, and software applications. You will own the service catalogue and Technology team documentation, ensuring it is kept up to date. You will also be responsible for project management, IT risk management, IT infrastructure upgrades, trend reporting, stakeholder management, process review, and business partnering. Additionally, you will manage the IT Service Desk Team, including recruitment, training, and goal setting.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience of managing an IT Service team
- Strong experience of developing and managing relationships with both customers and suppliers
- Project management skills
- Creation and application of IT policies and procedures
- Excellent knowledge and experience of risk management and assessment
- Strong communication, facilitation and relationship building skills
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Business Administration / Information Service Degree
- ITIL training / service management accreditation
- Technical skills, awareness and experience
- Ability to work well in diverse, multinational teams and proven ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes
