Senior Data Migration Project Manager
The Axial Senior Data Migration Project Manager is responsible for managing the data migration deployments from local ECC to SAP S4 HANA. The role is part of the Axial Data Migration team and will support and work directly with the Data Migration Deployment Lead.
The Axial Data Migration Project Manager will manage the end-to-end migration project for the deployment assigned within the Axial programme. This includes planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP platforms and integration principles with a focus on Data.
This role reports into the Data Programme Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Data Migration Deployment Lead to create and track the data load migration plan per data load to support each test phase and production cutover.
Identify and manage Data Migration dependencies and critical path.
Work with the Data Migration Deployment Lead to create the APICOM & UK Data Migration Deployment Plan, issue it to key stakeholders and ensure sign-off via Docu-sign.
Confirm the objects required for the deployment and identify those objects that require localisation.
Work with the Data Design PM to ensure dates are confirmed and built into the object build plans.
Identify, document, manage data migration risks or issues in Jira.
Support the Data Defect Manager who will be tracking and managing the remediation of the identification of defects identified in the data loads in each of deployment in-flight.
Deputise for the Data Defect Manager when needed.
Responsible for ensuring there are sufficient resources from Accenture and ECS to support data migration build and data load.
Scheduling and hosting daily Data Load stand-ups with each Data Migration Lead to identify key deliverables and blockers. Support remediation of any risks and issues.
Responsible for creating delivery plans, tracking progress against plans, status reporting, capturing and monitoring actions and their delivery for the deployment.
Weekly meetings with the Data Programme Manager to discuss progress and RAIDs and confirm what should be reported/escalated to the Axial LT.
As a Senior PM, support and educate other Data Migration PMs, sharing ways of working and learnings to help them create the Data Load Plan and Data Migration Plan.
Work with Axial GITC tower lead on team initiatives and take responsibility in fostering the collaboration with cross functional team
Support GITC
Work on continuous improvement from lessons learnt on every Data Migration iteration and reflect in planning, defining process and result in accelerating project deliverables with quality
Ensure the timely completion of all mandatory training throughout the year
On a monthly basis I dedicated time in my diary for personal training and development and maintain my current IDP, with specific focus on Data Migration & S/4HANA skills, follow core skills pathways related to my career / role when available
Qualifications:
Deep understanding of SAP platforms and integration principles with a focus on data.
Proven experience in managing data migration projects.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency in Jira and project tracking tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
