About the role

Senior Communications Manager, Global Business Services is responsible for implementing communications and engagement plan to position GBS identity within the group, to shape and communicate GBS bold ambition and translate the same to the GBS colleagues to ensure that they successfully deliver their priorities. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to understand the linkage between AstraZeneca achieving its bold ambition and GBS role in freeing up time and money for the organisation to achieve its ambition. They will use their strong influencing and collaboration skills to create an environment where employees feel connected to the business and demonstrates the same in the way they think and behave.

They will work closely with the Director GBS Communications and Organizational Transformation to:

➢   Execute and measure comprehensive communications and engagement plan for enhancing GBS   

       visual identity, both within GBS and for its collaborators

  • Ensure alignment of engagement plans and relevant tactics to ensure a clear line-of-sight and consistent experiences for GBS employees across the globe
  • Develop and deliver compelling and inspiring GBS narrative, with clear messages and sharp proof points to increase awareness, confidence, and action among employees in demonstrating AstraZeneca’s values and behaviours
  • Create a GBS repository and populate it with various GBS assets in close collaboration with the GBS leadership team and ensure regular content update

➢ Organize events such as GBS Townhalls, the GBS LT Site Visits, and other leadership meetings as well as reviving the GBS LT Site Visit guidance document to drive consistent use

➢ Work with Capabilities lead, GBS Site Representatives, Site L&D leads to implement an onboarding plan across GBS locations

Essential - Strong cross-functional, influencing and collaboration skills (both at the strategic and operational level)

  • Experience working in a global fast-paced, evolving environment including understanding of and respect for diversity; customer and patient-centric attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to combine critical thinking with hands-on delivery
  • Proven strong project management skills with critical attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and work proactively to deliver multiple assets simultaneously
  • Flexible work schedule to cover responsibilities across global time zones; travel (as required)
  • Excellent storytelling skills
  • Proficient in MS office, with advanced powerpoint skills

Desirable

  • Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of the shared service operating model
  • Experience in creating newsletters and videos for internal use
