Do you have the determination to turn science into real-world outcomes by crafting prescribing decisions across your territory? As a Territory Business Manager at AstraZeneca, you will champion differentiated medicines across key therapy areas, accelerating launches and expanding access where it matters most—at the point of care.

You will own a defined geography, partnering with physicians, pharmacists, hospital decision-makers, and clinic teams to influence treatment choices grounded in rigorous evidence. Your impact will be seen in adoption, access wins, and market share growth that translates into better outcomes for patients and stronger performance for the business.

Working within a forward-looking commercial team, you’ll combine the resources of a leading biopharma with the agility of a challenger—turning insights, digital tools, and bold thinking into sustained territory growth. How will you spot opportunities faster and convert them into lasting results?

Accountabilities:

  • Territory Strategy Execution: Translate brand strategy and plan of action into focused territory plans that deliver volume, share, and access growth while aligning to company policies.

  • Performance Leadership: Monitor and analyze sales performance regularly; lead timely course corrections to keep results on track with objectives.

  • Access and Formulary Enlistment: Secure listings and formulary inclusion for key and newly launched products across hospitals and clinics to unlock prescribing and uptake.

  • Market and Competitor Intelligence: Assess market dynamics, identify business opportunities, and shape tactics that outmaneuver competition.

  • Promotional Excellence and Education: Orchestrate in-field promotional programs and educational activities that elevate product awareness and clinical confidence.

  • Customer Relationship Management and Data Discipline: Maintain accurate segmentation, call records, and customer databases to enable targeted engagement and measure impact.

  • Trust, Compliance and Credibility: Build lasting credibility by operating with professionalism and integrity in line with the AstraZeneca Code of Conduct.

  • Growth Mindset and Coaching: Proactively identify development areas and partner with your manager on skills growth to elevate performance across the territory.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Graduate degree in Science/Pharma

  • Passion for Sales

  • Interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills

  • Excellent Communication Skills

  • Good Planning and Organisational Skills

  • Excellent Scientific knowledge

  • Ability to develop Strategic Partnerships

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Proven success in pharmaceutical sales with healthcare professionals across primary and secondary care

  • Experience gaining hospital formulary listings and navigating access processes

  • Therapeutic exposure in Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolism, Respiratory or Immunology

  • Proficiency with CRM tools, territory analytics and omnichannel engagement

  • Launch excellence experience, including rapid uptake planning and execution

  • Strong stakeholder mapping and KOL engagement skills

  • Data-driven decision-making with the ability to turn insights into clear actions

  • Resilience, agility, and comfort working at pace amid competitive change
