Statistical Science Director (Late Oncology)

What you will do:

As a Statistical Science Director you may lead, manage, and develop a group of statisticians as well as provide project support and/or advance statistical methodology.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead the statistical design and strategy to product development plans, preclinical studies, regulatory strategy, health technology assessment and/or commercial activities as appropriate for the stage of the product.
• Lead the statistical content and ensure quality for study designs, documents, delivery and interpretation and submission
• Quantify the benefit, risk, value and uncertainty of the emerging product profile and can communicate these effectively within the team
• Provide global leadership to others and direct project work delivered by internal and external staff
• Partner with CROs to ensure delivery to quality and time
• Represent AZ externally which may include health authorities, advisory boards, conferences, workshops and/or payer interactions

You will have:

• A Statistics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, related MS Degree.
• 5 years of proven experience
• Direct experience of clinical trials, ideally in pharmaceuticals or healthcare
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A collaborative mindset
• Genuine dedication to drive innovation to advance statistical science
• Oncology experience would be an advantage

We would prefer for you to have:

• Ph.D. Statistics or Mathematics with high statistical component.

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $178,000 to $266,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
