We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Commercial Head, IO GU & Women’s Cancers to join our Global Oncology Franchise Team, advancing AstraZeneca’s mission to transform cancer care and improve patient outcomes.

In this pivotal role, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the global commercial strategy across GU and women’s cancer indications. You will be responsible for developing and driving commercialization plans across the full lifecycle, working in close collaboration with Global Product Teams (GPTs), R&D, Medical, Market Access, Diagnostics, regional and country teams, and other Oncology Business Unit functions.

Leading the Integrated Business Team (IBT) across regions, and playing a key role within Global Product Teams, you will ensure alignment and excellence in execution of global commercial priorities while enabling successful launches and in-market performance.

You will be a key member of the Global Franchise Team, providing commercial leadership across current and future portfolio assets within GU and women’s cancers.

What You’ll Do

  • Accountable for the global commercial strategy and performance across GU and women’s cancer indications

  • Develop, shape and deliver end-to-end lifecycle strategies, from early development through launch and beyond

  • Partner with markets to ensure successful global launches and sustained in-market performance

  • Build and enhance global and local commercial capabilities to enable best-in-class execution

  • Lead market shaping strategies, including external engagement, partnerships and patient-focused initiatives

  • Represent commercial perspectives in Global Product Teams, senior leadership forums and governance committees

  • Lead and evolve the Integrated Business Team (IBT) to ensure cross-functional alignment and delivery

  • Collaborate across functions to deliver sustainable pricing, access and value strategies

  • Drive innovation, simplification and new ways of working to maximize impact and speed of execution

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing global commercial team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business or life sciences)

  • Significant experience in pharmaceutical development and commercialization, including oncology

  • Proven track record of leading global commercial strategy and delivering business results

  • Experience in global launch planning, lifecycle management and market access strategy

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with R&D and cross-functional teams

  • Strong capability to lead in complex, matrixed environments and influence without authority

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive decision-making

  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Proven experience leading and developing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, MD or equivalent)

  • Experience across both global and in-market roles

  • Customer-facing or commercial field experience

  • Leadership experience in oncology or specialty care

  • Deep understanding of global healthcare systems, access and policy landscapes

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $267,913 - 401,870 USD. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
