Director, US Commercial Excellence
TheCommercial Excellence Directoris a Maryland-basedresponsible for the US AZ Oncology Commercial Business Planning Frameworks and the Business Controls function. The selected candidate will drive strategies that both scale and optimize these functions across the US Oncology Commercial portfolioDirector, US Commercial excellencewhile partnering with Senior Executives, Brand teams, Compliance and other (multiple) cross functional partners. This leader will further mature disciplined, scalable frameworks & controls that reduce risk & waste (at scale) while optimizing the full potential of our capabilities and brands (compliantly driving capability & measurement, investment & impact across commercial functions).
The role will collaborate across the entire portfolio ensuring that US oncology brand strategies are differentiated, reach targeted audiences, and build a total customer experience. This role will also shape and influenceinnovativethat scales to deliver on brand strategy and drive greater franchise value.
Compliantly drive effectiveness,efficiencyand velocity as we more optimallyoperateand scale while appropriately identifying & managing risk. Identifyingand implementing simplification across our functions and teams is also a key to success in this area and above.
Accountabilities:
Act as a consultant and thought partner to US oncology and teams through regular and ad hoc engagement and partnership on the frameworks/capabilities above
Manage and orchestrate the annual Brand Strategy Planning (BSP) process for US Oncology in partnership with Oncology franchise leaders
Maintain a rolling 12-month view of relevant US Oncology business activities, clinical milestones, external events (including congresses, conferences), and market events
Create the vision and application of a preferred Commercial Excellence Methodology that objectively measures/assesses functional capability. ForexampleCapability Maturity Models & Benchmarking (including Roadmaps)
Responsible for as the lead to manage,designand implement Business Continuity Planning and Risk/Crisis Management via first line management reporting of high-risk critical business controls, platforms & activities whiledriving towardsconnectedness via improvedbusinescontrols that foster increased cohesion across our business.
Accountability for the business delivery & internal engagement for US Oncology Speaker Programs & Ad Boards
US Commercial responsibility as the point of contact for all US Oncology Commercial Audit Engagements
Accountable for the AZ US Oncology InnovationSummit (end toend) fosteringcommunity,collaborationand energy towards improving AZ capabilities & patient experience.
Create andmaintaina culture of high-performance teams with integrity and compliance.
Mentor and coach direct reports and project team members to uplift team capabilities and their portfolio of projects, providing direction,supportand prioritization of work.
Responsible for hiring, leading, developing, and coaching team members withinorganization.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
7+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: digital marketing, consumer marketing, brand/product marketing, strategic planning, business planning.
Digital or consumer marketing experience preferred
Oncology or specialty care experience highly preferred

Proventrack recordof managing cross-functional, matrixed teams
Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

Comfortoperatingin a highly regulated environment and industry

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $193,898 to $290,135. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans
