The AstraZeneca’s US BioPharma Respiratory and Immunology (R&I) Team holds a unique position in respiratory disease, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), with a range of differentiated potential medicines in development by using novel combinations, biologics and devices. The pipeline also has several promising assets in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases within areas such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, systemic lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. As a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist for R&I Primary Care Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives!

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships and credibility with Primary Care Healthcare professionals to effectively position products by establishing unmet needs, clinical differentiation, and fair balance of our Brands.
  • Execute call plans and Brand Strategy by translating data to actionable insights 
  • Leverages multiple channels including digital platforms and face to face engagements to drive meaningful customer interactions 
  • Open to receiving guidance and seek insights for growth and development 
  • Develop and Demonstrates knowledge of clinical disease states 
  • Effectively communicates product information to healthcare professional 
  • Executes call plans and Brand Strategy by translating data to actionable insights 
  • Adapt to and demonstrates a thorough understanding of the AZ Selling Model 
  • Brings in depth understanding of the healthcare industry and primary care operations 
  • Understand the payer landscape of manage care in the south Florida market

Essential Requirements

  • 5+yrs of demonstrated Sales or B2B, or Commercial experience or a combination of: pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional, or related industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A driver’s license and safe driving record

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of the medical, healthcare or pharmacy industry and skills in clinical; preferably within Respiratory therapeutic areas
  • Prior sales experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Exemplified judgment and decision-making capability
  • Be results-oriented with demonstrated time management skills
  • Ability to learn, analyze, understand and convey complex information
  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Geography - Ft. Lauderdale, Plantation, Weston
