The EDO is a cutting-edge central IT hub, instrumental in defining enterprise data strategy and standards in Data. As a Senior Enterprise Information Architect, you'll collaborate closely with our Business Technology Group (BTG), IT teams and data governance teams SET Area (Enabling Units) Data Offices (SEDO), supporting the build of the AstraZeneca data products including Data Mesh, analytical solutions, and with a view to enterprise information architectures and thinking. Your expertise will help shape enterprise information architectures, foster data innovation, and align with AstraZeneca's Data Mesh, Data Platforms and FAIR Data principles.

Our global Enterprise Information Architecture (EIA) Practice works within the EDO, specializing in Enterprise Information Architecture, Information Architecture, Data Modelling and Data Analysis. We design the key aspects of the data world for AstraZeneca across our global customer businesses, offering critical services focused upon the ingestion, extraction, processing, transformation, transport, storage and representation of knowledge, analysis and modelling of our essential data and facts.

As Senior Enterprise Information Architect you will focus on leading the definition and governance of enterprise information architectures, strategies, designs, models and consolidating thinking and artefacts across the Enabling Units, one or more projects/programmes, to drive out enterprise thinking and delivery across AstraZeneca IT function. The role will also support the definition of enterprise Data Strategies which may include information and data, regulatory or technical governances in a Data Mesh architecture, data innovation, enterprise architectures, governance policies standards and procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Lead Architectural Thought Leadership: Deliver impactful architectural deliverables to support enterprise information technology initiatives.
• Strategic Influence: Drive strategic and tactical architectural coherence across information and data architectures.
• Framework Mastery: Work within the Enterprise Information Architecture Framework to uphold and extend best practices and standards.
• Governance Champion: Oversee architectural governance by advancing key decisions through assurance forums.
• Model Excellence: Design and manage conceptual and logical models for data products, data platforms, BI solutions ensuring alignment with business goals.
  

Who You Are:

• Experienced in enterprise information architecture, understand data & analytics platforms and information models including but not limited to conceptual/logical data modeling.
• Proficient in information and data regulatory governance, IT architectural patterns, and cloud environments.
• A strategic thinker with a post-graduate degree (preferred).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or related field.
• Extensive experience in a senior information architecture role with practical examples of designing and providing end-to-end and point information architecture designs or blueprints that have been delivered and implemented for substantial real world use cases
• Experience of Information and Data Governance frameworks and their application in a commercial organisation
• Experience in Agile data definition scrums.
• Proven track record in delivering enterprise data architecture solutions.
• Experience with known IT architectural patterns and methodologies (e.g., Data Mesh, FAIR principles).
• Understands Data Platforms concepts and cloud-based containerization strategies for hybrid cloud environments.
• Understanding the appropriate data structure and technology based on business use case and completely familiar with data lifecycles.
• Experience in building data catalogues to make data findable and trustworthy.
