Senior Manager SAP Master Data

Introduction to role:
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role that ensures the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of critical SAP master data across multiple functions? As the Senior Manager of SAP Master Data, you'll be at the forefront of supporting enterprise-wide business processes, projects, integration, and analytics. Accountabilities:
Master Data Management:
- Create, maintain, and validate Material Master data, BoMs & other PP master data across SAP platform
- Lead engineering change documentation, support ECR processes and Quality Change Control processes
- Define the data assets & standards within the enterprise function  
- Assess & action change requests from various business functions in line with standards
- Provide data stewardship as a service to the relevant functions

Data Quality Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze, monitor, and improve master data quality, resolving discrepancies, and proactively identifying data-related issues
- Use RCA and lean approaches to drive sustainable solutions
- Conduct audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations, improve data quality performance with master data KPIs and metrics

Stakeholder Collaboration & Change Management:
- Partner across Alexion Operations with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Commercial, Regulatory, etc.) to support master data requirements and understand cross-functional impacts
- Advise on optimal BoM structures and master data governance aligned with ERP capabilities and manufacturing/assembly industry standards and requirements
- Participate in data migration, system & integration projects, ensuring adherence to data standards or identifying changes required and assessment of the cross-functional impacts to these changes

Compliance, Governance & Policy Enforcement:
- Implement and champion data governance frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures for SAP master data
- Maintain clear documentation of product data, changes & governance processes
- Ensure all master data processes comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, GxP), and SOPs and WI are kept up to date

Training & Support:
- Mentor junior team members, deliver training on MDM practices, and support end-users in data-related queries and issue resolution

Essential Skills/Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management in SAP ECC / S4 Material Master and SAP PP master data objects maintenance and governance, preferably in a life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
- Confirmed experience in BoM creation, Material Master Data management, and ERP/SAP/PLM systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management or related field preferable.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data handling.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address potential issues promptly.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (GDPR, SOX, GxP) is an advantage.
- Ability to decipher and coordinate large amounts of data and drive insights that enable better decisions.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and changing environment and ability to handle multiple initiatives where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist.
- Ability to influence, build positive relationships with business partners at all levels throughout the organization.
- Strong team management and motivation skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Previous involvement in ERP/SAP/PLM system implementations and/or data migration project.
- Experience of data management in SAP MDG or equivalent platform.
- Background in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Experience in integration of SAP master data with other systems (e.g. MES, APS).
