QC Sample Management Supervisor
Location: Dublin
Are you an experienced Quality Control professional with a passion for leadership, compliance, and continuous improvement? We're looking for a QC Sample Management Supervisor to join our Quality team and play a key role in ensuring the efficient management, processing, and distribution of critical product samples across the site and externally.
In this role, you'll lead a team responsible for sample management activities, working closely with Manufacturing and Quality Control teams to ensure samples are processed accurately, compliantly, and on time. You'll also have responsibility for the site's retain programme, support complaint investigations, and drive operational excellence across the function.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and developing a team within QC Sample Management.
- Overseeing the receipt, processing, distribution, and tracking of product-related samples.
- Managing sample shipments to external testing facilities.
- Management of site's retain programme, including DS, DP and FP retains.
- Supporting and overseeing product complaint investigations.
- Ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Representing QC during internal and external audits and inspections.
- Representing QC Sample management at site disposition meetings
- Investigating issues using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, External Quality control and other key stakeholders to deliver business objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Science, Microbiology or a related scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience working within a regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences environment.
- Previous people management or team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of GMP and quality systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and investigation skills.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships across multiple functions.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
