As a Manufacturing Technologist in our Dublin College Park facility, you will apply deep technical expertise to optimize manufacturing and packaging processes, strengthen reliability, and enable safe, compliant, and efficient supply to patients.

What you’ll do

You’ll be a key technical contributor within Operations, owning delivery of manufacturing and packaging improvements and resolving issues that impact product quality, performance, and service.

• Technical delivery and troubleshooting: Deliver technical aspects of product, component, or packing processes, diagnosing issues and implementing solutions that improve infrastructure effectiveness and service delivery.
• Decision‑making and judgement: Make informed decisions on project direction and delivery, assessing wider business implications; escalate only the most complex technical issues.
• Continuous improvement: Review working practices against AstraZeneca capabilities and industry best practice, adapting project delivery to enhance efficiency and sharing best practice broadly.
• Project analysis and planning: Analyse project requirements, define delivery models, and agree action plans with stakeholders.
• Execution and monitoring: Monitor priorities and review technical and packaging improvements to keep projects on plan.
• Industry awareness: Stay current with industry developments and assess their impact on the function.
• Change leadership: Positively support ongoing change and manage associated uncertainty within your area.
• Priority balancing: Balance conflicting priorities with a clear understanding of wider business impact.
• Stakeholder communication: Prepare clear, tailored materials for technical and non‑technical audiences (e.g., business cases, improvement plans, investigation reports, quality/performance recommendations).

Scope and relationships:

• People management: No direct or indirect line management responsibility.
• Remit: Own country (Ireland).
• Key relationships:
  • Internal: Wide range of contacts across Operations, Quality Assurance, and the Supply Chain.
  • External: As required to support technical delivery and compliance.

What you’ll bring:

• Essential: Degree‑qualified with comprehensive pharmaceutical industry experience; working towards or holding a professional qualification; relevant manufacturing experience; solid understanding of project management principles; strong knowledge of manufacturing and/or engineering processes, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Safety, Health and Environment (SHE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory/compliance standards.
• Desirable: Understanding of product supply chains and machine‑component interfaces.
