What you’ll do
As the International Diagnostics Lead, you will drive the diagnostic strategy development through local and regional data and insights collection, and the lead the implementation across the region, in collaboration with our diagnostic partners and in support of local teams and local healthcare ecosystems. As part of a team of two, you will work in a matrix, taking the lead for some tumour areas and pathological workflows, while working together to meet the needs across the portfolio and to optimise the way we engage externally with molecular and histopathology labs
Location: Dubai International office.
- Drive and collaborate with key internal and external partners in the regions and priority markets on all diagnostic related activities to ensure cost-effective diagnostics are in place to support launch readiness, including and not limited to:
- Gather insights and data to remove barriers to testing and accelerate the biomarker adoption, including critical metric tracking and identification of improvement needs along the patient/sample journey
- Lead diagnostic related internal & external educational initiatives to ensure adequate knowledge supporting launch readiness
- Ensure the implementation of the diagnostic quality assurance (QA) programmes
- Contribute to the delivery of diagnostics related evidence needs
- Working with diagnostic partners to develop suitable diagnostic solutions for implementation in market
- As required, lead and coordinate the International evaluations of external opportunities
- Provide subject matter expertise and advice where required and stay up-to-date on the latest scientific, medical and competitor developments knowledge
- Align with all external regulations and internal policies and complete all required training
- Ensure compliance with AZ Policies and Standards with special emphasis on Code of Conduct, Ethical Interaction Policy and Standards, Privacy (Patient Group interactions) and Procurement (engagement of third parties)
Essential for the role
- You have a graduate level degree in sciences or business
- Proven 3+ years of experience of medical affairs including experience in diagnostics
- Solid understanding of the various International markets in the biomarkers space
- Extensive experience in collaboration with external parties and managing cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
- Knowledge of the regulatory and compliance framework in which we operate
- Project management skills with the ability to lead, plan and drive implementation

- Proven experience and knowledge partnering with diagnostics or other companies related to Oncology and biomarkers solutions
