Commercial Diagnostics Manager - North Central

TheUSDiagnostics Manager will be a strategic and collaborative leader responsible for advancing diagnosis ofhATTR-PN at key accounts. They will foster multidisciplinary customer collaboration across IDNs and key physician groups to enable early andaccuratediagnosis ofhATTR-PN, working collaboratively with internal teams (i.e., Marketing Innovation, IDN team and Medical) on approved patient identification and digital tools. Key customers include non-Treating Diagnostic MD’s, Genetic Counsellors and Non-Treating Multidisciplinary Team involved in testing process (nurse, patient navigators).IDN specialty pharmacy and C-Suite collaboration will be coordinated with Access Strategy and IDN National Account Directors and Clinical Account Directors.

Territory Includes: Chicago IL, Ann Arbor MI, Detroit MI, Grand Rapids MI, Madison WI, Milwaukee WI, Minneapolis MN, Rochester MN, NW Indiana/Indianapolis, North/South Dakota, Iowa.

Key Responsibilities:

Education & Awareness

  • Educate physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals on disease signs, symptoms, progression, and the value of early testing.

  • Raise awareness of diagnostic guidelines and emerging testing technologies.

Diagnostic  PathwayOptimization

  • Identifygaps in current diagnostic workflows and implement strategies to streamline testing (e.g.pathology, panel testing, genetic confirmation)

Health System Engagement

  • Collaborate with health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and reference labs to integrate testing protocols into EMRs, order sets, and care pathways.

  • Align with population health teams to reach at-risk patient cohorts. 

Strategic AccountLeadership

  • Identify & Prioritize accounts with high prevalence or suspected underdiagnosis. 

  • Support implementation of testing initiatives across targeted geographies and specialties.

  • Develop and execute account-specific compliant diagnostic strategies for IDNs/health systems, ACOs and influential physician groups inappropriate matrixcollaboration with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access teams.  

  • Partner with IDN/CAD teams to increase diagnosisIdentifyand implement pathways to accelerate screening and diagnosis ofhATTR-PN.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with market access (NAD, CAD), field sales, medical affairs, and patient support teams to ensure a seamless handoff from diagnosis to treatment initiation.

  • Share diagnostic data insights to inform broader brand and access strategies.

  • Drive collaboration with diagnostic and laboratory stakeholders to enhance biomarker testing workflows and access.  

Data & Impact Measurement

  • Leverage claims, EMR, and lab data to measure diagnostic adoption and patient identification trends.

  • Provide actionable feedback to refine testing strategies and track progress toward earlier diagnosis goals.

Driving Innovation and Value Communication

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders toidentifyand address system-level barriers to testing and improve patient identification initiatives.  

  • Enhance diagnosticexpertiseto acceleratetimelyandaccuratepatient diagnosis, reducing misdiagnosis and minimizing disease impact

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure all activities and engagements are approved and adhere to AstraZeneca’s Code of Ethics and regulatory compliance guidelines.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, ora relatedfield.  

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience inthe pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industries.  

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales management, market access, marketing, or clinical roles in a similar therapeutic area.  

  • Proven success in engaging IDNs/health systems or ACOs.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead cross-functional teams effectively.  

  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.  

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in multiple commercial functions, such as District Sales Manager, Brand/Marketingand/or similar leadership experience.  

  • Expertise inrare diseases, biologics, and/or specialty products.  

  • Familiarity with cardiology, neurology, and/or biomarker diagnostics.

The annual base salary (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $162,989-$244,484. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
