Are you ready to make a difference in the world of pharmaceutical development? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager to join our Drug Discovery Platform within the R&D IT department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the sophisticated and timely delivery of user demands and long-term servicing of various COTS applications. Collaborate closely with the Platform Lead, Technical Lead, Scrum Master, and DevOps team to drive innovation and efficiency in our processes. Are you up for the challenge?

Accountabilities

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of backlog items and service requests for COTS applications. Your role includes planning and executing tasks within committed timelines, assisting the Scrum Master in coordinating sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups, and preparing status reports. Your leadership will ensure seamless integration and operation of our platform.

Essential Skills/Experience

- 15+ years of hands-on experience with COTS applications like LIMS, experience working vendors and SaaS solutions.

- Exhibits high-level end-to-end understanding of application design, construction, testing, deployment, and delivery.

- Takes full ownership of the DevOps discipline and be responsible for managing application, server, and infrastructure related issues.

- Has an effective understanding of Architecture and Integration technologies.

- Multi-vendor & multi-platform experience is required.

- Must be able to implement and enforce the best practices and coding standards of the platform.

- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work with others to achieve objectives.

- Experience working with global teams and guiding them through technical issues is highly preferred.

- Good team player that has the attitude to work with highest integrity.

- Must be able to support and troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restores of different software environments.

- Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve the speed, efficiency, and scalability of web-based applications.

- Must be able to work independently, prioritize existing demands, and proactively determine areas requiring additional attention, monitoring, or maintenance.

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and be able manage new requirements from stakeholders.

- Responds positively to change and the challenges and opportunities it brings.
