Here, your expertise in SAP Fiori/UI5, CAP, and SAP BTP will help bring new ideas to life, integrate Generative AI where it adds real value, and modernize how we work end-to-end. Accountabilities:
User-Focused Delivery: Lead the building and configuration of standard Fiori apps, launchpad spaces/pages, themes, and role-based catalogs to deliver intuitive, compliant user experiences at scale.
End-to-End Engineering: Build, enhance, and support on-premise and cloud SAP Fiori, UI5, and CAP applications across multiple functional areas using SAP standard methodologies, from first commit through deployment and monitoring.
Custom App Development: Architect and develop new custom Fiori applications using UI5 and CAP, integrating with custom ABAP where needed to deliver robust domain logic and performance.
AI on SAP BTP: Design and deploy AI-powered capabilities on SAP BTP, integrating Generative AI into applications, automation, and integrations to boost productivity and decision quality.
Side-by-Side Extensibility: Implement extensions in the ABAP environment and use low-code/no-code tools such as SAP Build to safely adapt SAP LoB solutions without disrupting core processes.
Technical Design and Quality: Produce clear technical design documents, establish coding standards, and implement automated testing to ensure maintainability, security, and reliability.
Requirements and Stakeholder Leadership: Facilitate functional discussions with key users, translate requirements into scalable designs, and ask the right questions to de-risk delivery and clarify value.
Security, Performance, and Operations: Own application security and optimization, proactively monitor health, and drive continuous improvements that reduce incidents and speed up cycle times.
Risk and Communication: Track progress, manage risks and dependencies, and keep stakeholders informed with transparent reporting on outcomes and timelines.
Continuous Improvement: Scan emerging SAP UI5/Fiori trends and standard methodologies, and initiate changes that elevate developer velocity and user experience.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Experienced in design driven development, configuring standard Fiori applications, Fiori launchpad configuration with spaces and pages, theming, and role-based access.
Encouraged to perform developments, improvements and to provide support for On-prem/cloud SAP Fiori, UI5 and CAP applications across various Functional Areas following established SAP guidelines.
Responsible for designing and development of new Custom build Fiori app using coding within UI5/CAP for custom ABAP development.
Designs and deploys AI-powered solutions using UI5 / CAP on SAP BTP and integrates Generative AI capabilities into Application Development, Automation and Integration.
Knowledge of Side-by-Side extensibility concepts with hands on experience building extensions in ABAP environment to SAP LoB solutions using low code/no code tool such as SAP Build code.
Should be capable of writing Technical Design documents.
Analytical problem solver having good creativity and problem-solving skills.
Should be capable of leading the Functional discussions along with key users to gather business requirements and raise relevant questions.
Would be expected to manage application security, optimize the application, provide pro-active measurements and be critical towards issues and problems.
Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
Would be encouraged to initiate changes linked to current/new applications and stay updated with the latest SAP UI5 / Fiori trends and standard methodologies.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Deep hands-on expertise with SAPUI5 controls, Fiori elements, CAP CDS modeling, OData v4, and UI5 Tooling.
Experience deploying on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry/Kyma), with CI/CD pipelines using Git, Transport Management, and automated testing (QUnit, OPA5, Cypress).
Solid grasp of SAP authorization concepts, identity and access management, and secure coding practices for cloud and on-prem environments.
Performance tuning of UI5/CAP apps, including caching strategies, offline patterns, and observability with SAP BTP monitoring and logs.
Experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and clean core extensibility patterns.
Practical usage of SAP Build (Apps/Process Automation) and integration with SAP Integration Suite APIs and events.
Familiarity with design systems and accessibility standards (Fiori design guidelines, WCAG, i18n/l10n).
Track record operating in Agile/Scrum at scale, with strong backlog management and stakeholder engagement.
Background in complex, regulated enterprises and data privacy/security-by-design practices.
Strong communication skills to influence across product, engineering, and business teams, with the ability to mentor peers.
