Role description:
The senior data analyst is expected to have a strong knowledge around the material master creation and maintenance process in the SAP ERP system. Should be knowledgeable and responsible enough to take regional accountability of the product data creation process. Should be able to identify the improvement opportunities, better ways of working and be accountable for sustained improvement in the Product data creation space. Should have exposure to business projects involving data in Regional/Global systems. Should have enough expertise to support supply chain business projects and contribute in enterprise wide initiatives from a data perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and be accountable(regionally) for Material master data across different SAP/Non-SAP systems for product data creation process.
- Display a strong understanding of business processes and align the activities done in accordance with the defined global and regional standards.
- Be a part of business projects involving product master data and ensure that product master data set up happens in a timely manner by coordinating and mentoring relevant stakeholders.
- Support product master data projects in business projects whenever there are changes in product supply chains.
- Initiate, sustain and successfully accomplish process improvement activities within the defined scope of work.
- Also, act as an individual contributor/team player in Supply chain management projects which have a focus on improving data in the enterprise systems.
- Work independently to create the SOPs, knowledge documents and other related documents that can help standardize the processes and establish the standards within the defined scope of work.
- As a senior data analyst, ensure that mentoring of fellow teammates and other stakeholders happens as a part of the regular work.

- A workwise exposure to any other functional area of SCM in addition to Master data management would be an advantage.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Management
- 4-8 years of relevant work experience.
- Hands on knowledge of SAP ERP (material master management) is a must & knowledge of SAP APO would be desirable.
- Exposure to working on SAP MDG would also be a definite plus though not a mandatory requirement.
- Prior experience as a Business analyst/Functional analyst/Process expert will be a plus.
- Hands on knowledge on Microsoft office suite like Spreadsheet, Word, etc. would be a basic requirement.
- Good understanding and appreciation of business processes.
- Any experience/certification in Continues improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) would also be considered as a plus.
- Should be willing to work in flexible timings.
