Introduction to role

Are you ready to lead the charge in redefining website operations at AstraZeneca? As part of the Global Business Services team within Finance, you'll be at the forefront of delivering enterprise-wide services that empower our business to push the boundaries of science. Your role as Website Delivery Lead is crucial in ensuring seamless end-to-end delivery of our website operations, driving quality and efficiency through collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Accountabilities

  • Lead and handle the website team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight.
  • Ensure effective prioritisation and capability development within the team, encouraging a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous development.
  • Represent operations in cross-functional product team meetings.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of website features, updates, and improvements.
  • Drive decisions for feature rollouts and faster implementation for markets.
  • Map processes and identify gaps in the process.
  • Lead collaborators to achieve effective quality delivery of the website.
  • Participate in in-market POD meetings to understand challenges and provide solutions.
  • Understand handovers and transitions provided by the development team, validate outputs and documentation.
  • Ensure the team adheres to defined SLA and operational commitments.
  • Proactively lead risks and issues affecting website delivery timelines.
  • Implement and maintain quality standards and proven approaches for website development and operations.
  • Track service performance and implement improvements where required.
  • Bridge gaps between creative/build teams and business collaborators to ensure high-quality, scalable delivery.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and guidelines in the website and digital experience space, including advancements in AI and automation.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in building websites and overseeing project management.
  • High level of expertise in website governance and operation.
  • Strong technical competence and expertise in AEM, HTML5, CSS3, and JS.
  • Demonstrates and adheres to guidelines for web accessibility WCAG 2.1.
  • Excellent communication and collaborator management skills, along with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and sophisticated concepts tailored to the audience.
  • Knowledge of JIRA and similar project management tools.
  • Ability to govern and hold accountability for third-party vendors and media partners.
  • Prior experience in the Pharma domain would be an added advantage.
